I have taken great interest in the comments in the few previous articles (a couple by me admittedly) and I am sensing a bit of a turn.
Obviously after a very bad defeat and performance, but people really do seem to be getting fed up with the apparent arrogance of our manager and refusal to change tactics that have been found out and players who are out of form.
I'm not suggesting we need a new manager or anything as dramatic, but is there a situation where he keeps playing this high line with two defenders and 3 ineffective forward players, we get tanked a few times and the murmurs become grumblings?
If we get royally turned over by Arsenal, which I'm really worried about, the atmosphere at the Stadium is gonna surprise Ange.
The problem he has got, it seems to me, is 90%of fans are of the same mind that we need variation in tactics, depending on players and opposition and his refusal to even contemplate it unifies the fans.
The next few weeks will be very interesting, but probably not fun.
Is The Tide a Turning?

I just do not buy the nonsense nobody had us down for xyz. We have played the least amount of games in a season since 2004/2005. Only cup win was a rotated Burnley side at home.
Every other top 10 side has had europe or a cup run we are the anomaly.
Then we look at chelsea poor season, final and a semi final and they could still catch us. United poor season but cup semi final and could catch us.
Then i look at injuries, Chelsea, Newcastle, United, villa have all had worse injuries. So we cannot use that.
We have the best performing under 21s in the country scoring for fun, yet none on the bench. No recognised striker on the bench. But the hapless bryan gil there.
Every gripe i had with conte is there with Ange. Not playing youngsters and a refusal to change tactics. Conte had 3 windows, ange has had two.

Chelsea have spent nearly a £billion and in no stretch of the imagination can they catch us, same applies to United, no hope of catching us.
Yes, I agree we have not performed that well in recent weeks apart from Villa Park. You cannot blame Ange for everything, the players need to step up and improve their own games.
Yesterday was unfortunate for several reasons, a) we failed to convert our early chances. b) Son seems to have gone off in last couple of games. c) Our midfield appears disjointed at present and Bissouma has also been struggling recently. d) unfortunately our best and fastest defender slipped twice had his worst game for Spurs this season and we were punished for it.
Am I disappointed? Yes, but I am in the camp that says Ange needs two full seasons before judging him and I am still confident we will qualify for either the CL or Europa League, most people’s expectations were finishing 7/8th this season and building on it.
How do you think Liverpool fans are currently feeling?
At one time looking nailed on for both the PL and the Europe League, yet in 4 days their season has imploded.

Yesterday was our 8th league defeat of the season and probably our worst performance, how the Hell is anyone trying to spin that as progress?
Overall I’d say he’s done ok, he’s an ok manager, but clearly nothing special and it seems he’s absolutely incapable of adapting when things aren’t going right.

How many managers out there could have done better? We sold Kane, the previous year we finished 8th and were a toxic mess. We didn’t buy an out and out replacement for Kane. We’ve bedded in Vic, VDV, Udogie, BJ, Werner, Maddison - whilst the established players have had to learn his system.
We have had the most disrupted season I can remember in ages in terms of injury, suspension and international football - it’s been a nightmare.
So yes we are very one dimensional currently, but it has mostly worked - no one on earth (Sandy aside) thought we were going to finish above Arsenal, Pool, City - and they are the only sides we were behind Saturday morning and probably Sunday evening.
The football has been a breath of fresh air, but I agree this summer Ange needs to find better balance and a plan B - I think he will. It’s absurd to even consider replacing him at this point - I do t think there are any realistic managers out there that can do better
