Coming up short

Very disappointing display, what I couldn't get over was how they looked fresher than us. We've had more time to prepare and yet we struggled in that second half. Looks like we are gonna come up short again. I think Arteta has got serious questions to answer it's no coincidence that we've got close to the end of the season and players look flat. You can't keep running the likes of Odegaard, Saka and even Rice today into the ground and expect this to not happen. If you don't rate Smith-Rowe and Vieira get rid of them. It's again not a coincidence that Saka fades in games.

I don't ever want to see Zinchenko start a game for us again, absolute liability, we also need a high quality forward I don't mind Jesus as a rotation option but it's clear we need other options.

Tbf Emery did rest Martinez, Watkins etc recently, and McGinn had a 3 game break.

But, yeah, same story as last season. Lack of rotation, lack of belief in the squad and bringing Jesus and Zinchenko into the team to totally derail it.

I recall calling for Odegaard and Kai to be rested and the clown Bats was giving me grief.
Rice, Kai and Odegaard were exhausted today and their performance suffered for it.
You have to trust your squad players more.
Hope Arteta is learning the hard lessons.

Doesn't seem like he is though the same thing happened last season I'd say he had a bit more of a pass though we had no experience and had to use Rob Holding. No excuse this time that statement he made where he said a pro should be able to play sixty games a season was absolute nonsence.

Not enough strength in depth in the Arsenal squad.

Arsenal and Liverpool fans need to have some perspective here. Man Cheaty had about a billion pounds worth of players sat on the bench yesterday.

You can’t compete with that.

We've got options but Arteta doesn't use them and he's not learning you can't keep expecting certain players to be able to play at a high level when they play nearly every minute of every game.

You haven’t really got options, though. That’s the difference between you, City and Liverpool. They have more depth across the board.

I wouldn't say Liverpool's options are any better than ours today and against United proved it their forward players can't hit a barn door. The difference is Klopp seems to trust more of his players maybe he hasn't had much choice with injuries but with Arteta once your not in favour you might as well not exist.

We had to leave 3 or 4 fit senior players out the matchday squad such are our options.
You may not rate certain players who were on our bench, but they are the players Arteta brought into the squad, gave extensions to and has opportunities to sell them.

That is having options. But Arteta thinks players can play 60 games a season at the same high level.

Their depth options definitely are. It’s why they score so many off the bench. No point talking about City because it’s obvious, but Klopp didn’t used to rotate as much when they lack the depth they had now. They were massively reliant on the core of their team like Arsenal are now.

We are one of the highest scorers "from the bench".

You said it 2 days ago. And we did test him, in the final 15 minutes, which we went on to lose. You must be delighted
