CL semi and play-offs...

We have already had a fair bit of drama in the play-offs - Bromley reaching the Football League after a penalty shoot-out, Braintree coming through the NLS with an extra time 4-3 win over Worthing and a host of others. They continue through the week, but the European semi-finals 2 legs take a lot of the shine this midweek...

PSG (0-1) Dortmund - tonight 8pm - TNT
A great Niclas Fullkrug finish means the Germans go to Paris with a lead. However, the Parisians will feel confident with the knowledge they beat Dortmund 2-0 at the Parc des Princes in the group stage as well as back in 2020 last 16. With the title sealed in France, PSG had the weekend off. Dortmund, with CL qualification secured, smashed 5 past Augsburg with a rather weakened XI.

Real Madrid (2-2) Bayern Munich - tomorrow 8pm - TNT
After going in a goal behind, Bayern turned their home leg in their favour with quickfire goals from Sane and Kane (p). However, a late Vinicius penalty means it is all square ahead of tomorrows game. The last time they met at the Bernabeu in 2018, and before that Bayern actually won in 90 minutes, 2-1, but conceded 3 times in extra time to go out 4-2.
Real sealed the Li Liga title at the weekend, but still managed to rest their first XI. Bayern, despite already having lost the Bundesliga title, went pretty full strength.

For what it is worth, my predictions are PSG 3-0 Dortmund and Real 2-1 Bayern aet.

League 1 Play-offs second legs
Bolton (3-1) Barnsley - Tonight Sky Sports
A great away win for Bolton, with a 94th minute goal putting a gap between them and Barnsley. After finishing 11 points clear of the Yorkshire side, Bolton will be strong favourites - although both league games ended in draws.

Peterborough (0-1) Oxford United - Tomorrow night Sky Sports
Oxford finished 7 points behind the Posh, but take a 1 goal advantage to the Weston Homes Stadium tomorrow. Peterborough won their home fixture in the regular season 3-0, but just last month Oxford put 5 past their rivals without reply at the Kassam.

I feel Bolton will go through without too much trouble, but I have an inkling for Oxford to get through the other.

Also tonight is Crawley vs MK Dons in a L2 first leg postponed from yesterday.
The Scottish Premiership relegation/Championship promotion play-offs get underway tonight with Aidrieonians hosting Partick Thistle.

As a bit of a Wednesday bonus, the Europa Conference League second leg between Club Brugge and Fiorentina is tomorrow at 5:45pm. The Italians take a 3-2 lead to Belgium after an eventful 1st leg that had goals and a red.

Aston Villa go to Greece in Thursdays 8pm ECL game, and they need to overturn a 4-2 deficit to Olympiakos.
Also Thursday at 8pm are the Europa semi second legs, with Atalanta (1-1) Marseille and Leverkusen (2-0) Roma battling it out.

Good luck to anyone having a bet.

Did I hear Wycombe are being taken over by a billionaire?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has although I don't know why Wycombe and how much money he's looking to spend.
Plenty of room to increase capacity if he does spend and we were to go up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lots of talk about massive investment in the academy? Bringing the best of Kazakhstan to Wycombe.

Another good display from Sancho tonight... Maybe our next manager can get him back on track in red.

How did Sancho play tonight?

Although they were on the receiving end of quite a bit of luck over the two legs that was still an incredible performance out of possession from Dortmund last night. I didn't think they had it in them.

They've been pretty good in Europe this season despite underwhelming domestically.
