Big ask and ludicrous that our best player cant play because hes too young, could play for the 1st team but not the youth team.

Good to see Charlie Crew involved in this Final. Putting in a sound performance so far.

So, final score Man City 4 Leeds Utd 0. Our lads played OK but Man C look about as far ahead in the under18s as they are in the Prem. Very skilful players. Well done though, our boys, on getting to the final. They should be proud of themselves.

I didn’t realise that Howard Wilkinson’s son is the Man City under 18s coach.

City just too strong in the end but 3 or 4 of Leeds lads I thought showed some real glimpses of class and I'm sure they will eventually go on to have successful careers in at least the Championship while the City lads most of them already look as though they will make it in
the Premier league sooner rather than later.... The have's and the have nots unfortunately tonight for the young Leeds stars of tomorrow but they can definitely hold their heads up high for their efforts this season.

Before the investment in City, they were similar to us in achievements and attendances. What they and Chelsea have done is now almost impossible unless the financial landscape changes…Newcastle finding that out now.

I don’t know about Financial Fair Play - it seems to me these rules protect those who have (or had) mega rich owners who bought the top players in the world and built stadiums etc before these rules came in, as I don’t believe clubs can do that now. There is a massive divide in the Prem League between the top 6 or so clubs and the rest. Newcastle haven’t been allowed to spend like Man City or Chelsea did even though their owners are richer.

Oh for the days when it was a much more level playing field.
