Well…we did it. I can’t see there being a 12 goal swing.
The season doesn’t start again until August 17th…and I am very much looking forward to the break.
Chelsea:
The Good: Taking the lead v one of the most expensively established teams in world football is always a positive.
The Bad: The inability to hold onto the lead.
The Ugly: Our substitutions, it just highlights that Montiel and Toffolo need to be replaced for 24/25.
Special Mention(s): The wall of noise from the fans!
The Last Time we played Burnley (H) 1-1!! Elanga with the winner.
Turner
Montiel Worrall McKenna Aina
Sangare Mangala
Elanga
MGW CHO
Awoniyi
Proposed Line-up:
Sels
Aina Boly Niakhate Murillo Tavares
Danilo Yates
MGW CHO
Wood
Subs:
Turner, Omobamidele, Toffolo, Montiel, Kouyate, Sangare, Elanga, Gardner, Awoniyi
Injuries: Dominguez and Williams the only doubts.
Form:
Burnley (H) - W1 D2 L3 GF5 GA14 - 19th (19th in the Home Form table)
Forest (A) - W1 D1 L4 GF7 GA12 - 17th (15th in the Away Form table)
It should be an open game, both teams playing with freedom.
Prediction:
A couple of early goals for Forest to settle any lingering nerves before a mini fight back and a 4-2 victory.
Final Words:
….and breathe.

We are still inviting pressure, we all know how that usually ends.

Well that was 3 welcome points, we were never in danger of relegation, realistically, but it’s always nice to finish the season with a win.
Cheers guys see you all again next season.
Well done the reds, we achieved our aim, not as comfortably as we would have liked, but the end justifies the means.
Well done.

No lie, at the start of the season I said (not on here) that I would have taken finishing 17th. I wasn’t expecting it to be easy but obviously not expecting all the drama that has surrounded the club. Hope they learn lessons in time for next season but job done in the end

I wasn't expecting to qualify for Europe as somebody suggested, but I thought we could do better than 17th again.
What has really let us down this season has been the goal keeping berth, e need to get rid of the dross and look for a up grade on Sels.
Chris Wood has kept us up as opposed to our butter fingered goal keepers who have, along with VAR nearly took us down.

Goalkeeping has definitely been an issue, though i think Sels has done ok, certainly better than the first two.
Conceding 20+ goals from set plays hasn’t helped either.
If we can hang on to the players we have, strengthen in a couple of areas, and sort out the defending, particularly of set plays, i think we could be looking at a mid table finish next season.
In reality we were 10 points clear of the bottom three, but also 6 points below the next team above us.
Fester will probably start with a minus points, Ipswich i don’t see as being much better than Burnley or the Blunts, and either Leeds or Southampton aren’t a great improvement on Luton.
Next season really is the season to establish ourselves, and hopefully not be in the limelight quite so often.
TTFN, see you all again in August, to do it all over again.

Well in many ways a season to forget but 4 away wins is a positive sign as has been the more attacking style u der Nuno. Fair to say there is a lot of work to be done over the summer but the core of a good team is in place. See you next season.
