Which of our managers post SAF, have had the best squad, and who built it?

This is a trick question... When you add the incompetence of Ed Woodward, buying players just to sell shirts and appease sponsors. Getting players managers didn’t want, it’s a hard one to answer...
I think Ole was well on his way, until CR7 messed it all up. And I’m not blaming CR7.
It just fooked everything up....

Or players we signed that the manager didn't want.

I think Jose made some quality signings at the time (Pogba, Lukaku, Ibra)

His squad was definitely the strongest, but also included a lot of LVGs signings.
He signed Mkhitaryan too, who’s done well at Inter.
Although Pogba and Lukaku didn’t turn out too well.

Ole.
Until, and like mentioned already, Christiano Ronaldo and the circus arrived.

In hindsight, dumping Ole was the wrong decision.

Doubtful whether MUFC could put together a complete, theoretical, first MUFC/EPL quality first XI from ANY of the post SAF squads (not least because of the long-term presence of the clown in goal for much/most of that time).
But I'm a bit bored so I'll try:
Onana
AWB
Maguire
Shaw
Ronaldo
Rooney
Fernandes
Pogba
Mata
Lukaku
Depay
Kind of sad really to consider that since 2013 that's only just about the best first team the club could have theoretically put out.
Especially when the fact that under SAF for much of the clubs strongest EPL era (1995-2005 ish) MUFC had both the best and second best starting XIs in the league.

He was terrible towards the end so it was the right decision. We should have replaced him better.
