Couple issues here:
Submitting false accounting information. Same as City are being accused of. No precedent yet set as to the extent of punishment dished out for this but i would assume this would carry a greater punishment than the actual breach of FFP, because it's fraud. Potential legal/HMRC case to answer too !
Clear breach of FFP.
This saw Everton get a 10pt deduction reduced to 6 on appeal.
Forest got a 2 point deduction and it is understood that this was reduced from being higher due to their admission and cooperation.
I suppose it depends on the number of offences and the amounts involved, but you would expect it to be a quite significant punishment, even allowing for the fact that they have fessed up.
As far as i am aware, there are no charges currently, only an investigation.
Come on PL...pull your finger out. You have a revenue of billions, get a proper compliance team set up to deal with all these cheats expeditiously
