Wow. Who saw this coming (if true)? Talksport reporting that Chelsea are set to approach Leicester to begin talks with Maresca over appointing him as Chelsea boss
My God. Firstly - if there’s any truth in this,
what are Chelsea thinking? Secondly - I would genuinely be happy with this, especially given the compensation
Maresca apparently has a 7 figure release clause Chelsea are willing to trigger
Chelsea set to approach Maresca

It was such a good point I posted it twice

Really would not be too bothered if he left.
Think it wrong move for both Chelsea and Enzo as far to early in a so far unproved career.
If did happen would like Potter, but would he come??
David Moyes anyone,or even Nigel??

Suggestions are that Carlos Corberan might be a good fit. Decent tactician and used to working on a low budget.

I was quite resigned to give Enzo a chance to see if he could show he's learnt and developed, both from his own experiences and watching Kompany's hapless performance with Burnley. Having said which, if big Vince could get the Bayern job after the appalling season he's just had, maybe Enzo might see a way forward if we threaten Direby's record next year?
Chelsea beggar belief, Poch just getting the team to perform and he's shown the door. More money than sense it seems. If they pay big bucks for Maresca then so be it.
If so, I'd have little faith in Rudders making a good pick for the replacement. Moyes isn't an inspiring proposition, but probably not a bad pick in the dire circumstances we're likely to face next season.

‘Tic fan here, with a missus from Leicester … Congrats on coming up as champions. Clocked this on the Beeb’s Scottish footy gossip this morning …
“Celtic are lining up a renewed bid for Besiktas' Ghana midfielder Daniel Amartey, who played for Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City (Scottish Sun)”
Dodgy source admittedly, but was he any good for the Foxes? I’ve watched plenty of your games when he played, but you guys would be better placed to comment. We badly need an actual DM with a bit of physicality, which I think was his main position IIRC?

He'd be OK in the SPL. Could play quite well but had a mistake in him.

He was bloody awful. Leicester fans give him a free pass because he was a nice player who often did his best - but he was mostly absolute dogshiiiit for us. He can’t defend, can’t really tackle at all and has regular lapses in concentration. His marking is terrible and he should be nowhere near central defence
When he played as a holding midfielder he was a bit better. Was decent on the ball but in my opinion nowhere near good enough for the PL - championship player at best

I’ll take that as a NO then. Cheers (and to Nuneaton).

That the best you’ve got, aye? Maybe give the wumming a rest after finishing 8th in a 4-horser, with a negative GD, and Diego fecking Dalot as your POTY. Way to go.
