Just phone work on Monday and tell them you won't be coming in because you're sick.
If they ask how sick are you ?
Just say well i'm in bed with my sister.
Hope you get better soon Pranks.

He’s used that too often.
And they have the cheek to tell him he’s lying. It’s like they don’t know him at all.
Get well soon pranks.

I'm getting made redundant in mid-August so don't give a shiite about work anymore.
I won't be "in" or "online"
😄

Sorry to hear that man. Got opportunities elsewhere lined up, or taking a little time out if your package is good?!

Got a good severance package of £40k.
And have a few 2nd interviews for better paid jobs.
What irks me is that my Programme (im a Programme Manager) was running at 40% margin. All the other 26 Programmes were operating a loss and somehow I'm the one to be removed.
Stuff them.

Depending on salary, that’s about a year on average. Maybe you were the one that spoke up against the bullshiiit nonsense initiatives that goes on in management, and put a target on your back? Though in my experience, that often makes you harder for them to get rid of. Hope you land something good soon, or enjoy a little time out .

True. The decision making process has been a sham. They were only willing to give my notice period of 3mths but I fought for an additional 2 to get 5mths pay.
I've been in continuous employment for 22yrs so I will take a couple of months off.

I didn’t want to use a holiday so I’ll just be working from home. Out tomorrow night for the match with a couple mates and my old man.

If your employer doesn't at least give you the option of a late start on Monday is it really worth working there?

If you’re taking Monday off, just take Tuesday off too as it looks more genuine.

No drinking for me tonight, I am at that age where the hangover isn’t worth it. It’s going to be a quiet morning for me tomorrow it seems…
