Remember when Ollie Skipp was the best player in The Championship?

Hate to break it to you but he wasn't even in the team of the year in the championship that season.

We need a good start tomorrow to set the tone. Not setting my expectations high this season as there will be 6-8 teams fighting for 4th. I gues it’s safe to assume Man City, Gooners, Pool will be in top 3.

I think Villa will go well in the league this year too. They’ve ve got a bit of momentum about them.

It needs to be top 4 and/or a trophy. If it's just a trophy then it should at least be a top half finish.

As far as what I expect, I'm not sure. Part of me thinks we can have a good and successful season, the other thinks we'll just have a season no better than the last one.

This is not a squad that is going to do anything but mid table.
Incomings have been totally inadequate.

Has the pony express arrived over there Ted ?

I want to compete again with the likes of Arsenal, City. Not to win the league but we should be beating them least competing in the games.

Fourth i would be happy with. Brighton are a huge threat this season as are Aston Villa.

We cannot win a cup under Ange bordering on impossible, Fulham, Burnley, City and that weird Australian friendly with Newcastle showed why it is impossible. The tactics are either toothless or we are too open and concede.

Lets hope for a win tonight.

This defeat was a sobering reminder of the problems that persist at Tottenham.

Postecoglou will argue that he has met his pre-season requirements by winning a trophy and qualifying for the Champions League.

The build-up to the Europa League final was dominated by talk of the Australian getting the sack if Spurs lost - perhaps even before today's match against Brighton.

That did not happen and at Spurs' Europa League trophy parade, Postecoglou said: "All the best TV series, season three is better than season two."

It was interpreted as a suggestion that the Australian had been told that he would be at the club next season, but he was quick to play down those claims before this match, acknowledging that "sometimes they kill off the main character".

It is now over to chairman Daniel Levy to decide how much the club's Europa League success can mask such a disastrous league campaign.

Levy is yet to give any indication to Postecoglou over his future, but clarification is expected in the next 48 hours.
