How do pundits and ex players get away with

Misinformation after football matches every-week for years now?

Its been happening on BBC, SKY and TNT before known as BT Sports. I watch a game and they say the complete opposite of what happened in the game to fit the narrative. Do they think we are all blind?

804 shots to Man City 796 and we also missed more big chances than Man City in the PL in Ten Hag first season and had similar open play XG.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

While Utd had 8 shots more in the season you quoted, last season -as per your own link- City had nearly 200 shots more than Utd in the PL.

So, you've left your own "We created a lot more than Pep Guardiola Man City in all competitions since Ten Hag took the job" looking like a bit of a fib.

It is because we smashed in so many shots in the FA Cup, CL and EL and League cup.

IOAG it is hard to believe but Man City became more pragmatic and Man Utd more gung ho hence why it is true.

Hafi, per UEFA's own website, City had the most attempts -both total and (on target) - of ANY team in last season's CL: 216 (84) in 10 games.

United ranked 20th, with 71 attempts (26 on target) in 6 games.

So even though City played less that twice the games (10 v 6) and against higher quality opposition overall, they still had roughly 3 times the number of shots United had, and even a higher proportion of shots on target.

The same was true of City the season before: 200 (89) in 13 games; United had more overall 214 but less on target (72) over 12 Europa League games, which is only a fractional difference.

We've also seen that City had nearly 200 shots more in the PL last season, vs 8 more for United the season before.

So unless you can demonstrate that United had an overwhelmingly higher number of shots across the two seasons in both League Cups and FA Cups, then your numbers clearly don't add up.

If only we could get this Man Utd fan in front of goal lol. To be fair we did outshoot Man City in the FA Cup both seasons by a huge amount playing the same amount of games. Man Utd also generally create better quality chances per shot we take as well in domestic cups.

Owen Hargreaves again watched a different game today then what was on tonight. I am now convinced he is programmed into say the same thing no matter what lol.
