You know.
If not for the mere fact that there's been a drop-off and gone stale in the attack (partly due to the lynchpin Jackson not getting enough touches on the ball in advantageous positions at present, which is frustrating), then at least for shot creating actions and accurate shot-volume purposes - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GcPaDi4XYAAVTmD?format=jpg&name=large
The penny will eventually drop that Nkunku with all his ingenuity should be starting behind the striker (Jackson)...where he belongs, hopefully sooner rather than later.
10 minute sub appearances on average as the focal point up top thus far just doesn't cut it for a player of his calibre and establishment, regardless of his output in the cup competition.
Good time to introduce and enforce him into Premier League starting line-up for a run of matches post-international break, with the "easier games" on paper upcoming.
The recent predictable leaving report may or may not kick-start motion of Nkunku being put into the side.
Might be an idea to switch first 11 up...

Yeah with Caicedo and Lavia in midfield we can play someone like Nkunku in the number 10 position.
Want to see Nkunku, Jackson and Palmer given a run in the team together.

Irrespective of whether it's Caicedo & Lavia, Caicedo & Enzo, Caicedo & Veiga or even Caicedo & Carney midfield pairing...
There is no time like the present to integrate Nkunku into the side for the next Premier League games. Run of games is kind "on paper".

The problem is he is an injury mess and won’t stay fit long enough to have a run in the first team

Nkunku playing 40 matches a season for the past four seasons (prior to joining Chelsea) is not the definition of injury prone or injury mess. A myth.
