Ange

think it was a good appointment. we all knew after the Jose and Conte experiments that it was time to modernise and start trying to play like the other top teams if we wanted to get to their level. siting deep and counter-attacking was just not going to work if we wanted to find ourselves in the top 4 consistently. We needed to start getting higher up the pitch and trying to keep hold of the ball.

Ange certainly did that. I doubt anyone else could have shifted the mentality so quickly, thanks to his convictions. I think it makes him a great bridge manager to take us from one tactical style to another, but ultimately he's only ever going to be the guy before the guy (or the guy before the guy before the guy before the guy knowing our luck).

He understands that we need to play a certain way, but he just doesn't seem to have the tactical sophistication of the younger managers he's competing with. Are we pressing high? Yes, but we look like complete headless chickens. Chelsea found it so easy to play around us today. Are we keeping possession? Yes but we look pretty aimless when we do.

A good step in the right direction but if we want to push on we need to make a change.

‘Tic fan in peace … OP is a pretty fair assessment IMO. In Ange’s defence today, whilst I think Chelsea certainly deserved to win over the piece, I’m not sure what he can do about 2 of the dumbest penalty challenges you’ll ever see.

He is a joke mate. Agree RE the 2 decisions but we were being dominated at 2-0 and yet he's playing the same stupid way regardless. Worst manager we have had since Ramos. Awful manager that needs to go.

Worst i e seen since Christian Gross

Don’t think he’s an awful manager at all. He’s won titles in Japan, Aus, and Scotland, and done so playing swashbuckling, entertaining football. Also took Aus to a WC. Unfortunately (and I said this when he got the Spurs gig), he’s also a very one-dimensional manager, who won’t change his philosophy … and I also said that was unlikely to work in the EPL, certainly with the calibre & mentality of players at Spurs.

He should have been the perfect fit for Spurs, obviously a bit too radical for most and being an Aussie called a spade ,a spade which has annoyed many.
More backing and patience could have been a very enjoyable experience

Agreed Dave. As I said before, get our injured players up to speed like Micky and Romero, Mickey Moore plus Bents on the 26th Dec, we will be better.

Levy will long any new manager search out anyway.

I said it when he joined - he’s basically the Aussie Bielsa. He didn’t work at Leeds and Ange won’t work in premier league either

was shouting every time there was a break in play when chelsea are on top to just slow it down. rushing to take every throw in, free kick, goal kick, when we don't have the momentum in the game is INSANE

the fans were the only ones who actually stepped in to do something about their momentum by delaying the corners with throwing paper. not condoning it, but tbh I don't really care about it either... but the fact that not one single player in the whole spurs team was willing to do anything to slow down momentum that Chelsea were building is ridiculous, unprofessional, and unless it changes, Ange will be gone.

the results are getting indefensivly bad now.

I don't remember seeing many great games and wins with a fit VDV, Bents and Romero in the squad.either? Rose tinted spectacles.

Davies has a hammy. And after today, Biss will lucky to start any games. He costs us big time.

He should be gone already, let's face it. Since the 2 points from 8 Juande Ramos season 17 years ago, this is:

Our equal worst points total after 15 games (equal with the season Poch was sacked)

Our most number of losses after 15 games

Our lowest position after 15 games

And remember this was a manager who had finished the previous season with 5 losses in 7.

I feel sorry for previous managers who weren't given as much time before being sacked, while having better form.
