Let's hope we've found a gem, UTR.

I wish we would play 2 up top every week.

Horses for courses I'd say. Yates against teams who'll give us space, Erik against the pressing teams. I imagine early on we'll start with Yates though n finish with Kuqi until form and fitness dictates otherwise.

I assume that two up front will mean three at the back with WBs. They will be the ones expected to put crosses in so how will NML and/or CBT fit in if at all if we have three midfielders (who ideally would include Ozoh and Adams)?

Exactly Chicago. I'm of the same thinking, it allows PW to switch to his more favoured ( and dreaded ) formation. The fact we're looking at another winger allegedly suggests he'll still be considering 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1.

Controversial suggestion, could NML be one of the players to be allowed to leave? CBT is no doubt one which means a replacement is required but I wouldn't mind seeing NML move on if someone better comes allowing thus Jackson and Harness become RW options.

It's been mentioned elsewhere that Ward is possibly our best crosser of the ball. Could he make a very unexpected return for the second half of the season now we have a 'target man's?

Most of us want 2 strikers but until Ozoh returns we don’t have a strong enough midfield pair to play a 4-4-2. I haven’t seen whether Phillips was injured on Tuesday but supposedly Cash is available for Saturday, Rooney is fit and Nyambe close so we certainly have enough centre halves for a back three for the rest of the season. Otherwise I think it is hard to play 2 strikers without running the risk of getting overrun in midfield.

Warne said that Phillips felt his calf in the first half in the after match interview.

That may mean Cash back then. Fingers crossed it isn’t too soon. How about:

JZ
Rooney Nelson Cash Elder
Wilson Adams Kenzo Osborn
LJS Yates

That could be fluid with potential for Osborn to come inside and Elder bombing on when we’ve got the ball, so that if we then give it away we have a third body in the midfield.

I don't think that the new Viking will start from what Warne said in his interview yesterday, plus apparently he's in some kind of preseason training as the Norwegian league is on a break as I understand it.

Imagine the furore if he played and did a hammy (or something).
