Fed Up with 'Injury' enablers!

Yes, we have injuries, but has our manager made any allowances or even done what he is paid to do, such as manage what he has to it's full potential. No. Has he carried on letting Porro do whatever he likes ( another goal behind him in midweek) Yes.

Injuries. Why have we got so many. There may be some bad luck, but injuries went through the roof at Celtic and have gone through the roof here, coincidence? Not in my opinion.

Also, both CB were rushed back by him as he was panicking about his job. Both CB's out for weeks and he brings them both back against Chelsea. I said on the night before a ball was kicked, on here, this has disaster all over it, and so it was, both injuries agrivated and out for even longer.

Who is this all on? Who is making these decisions? Ange.

So even if it was all on injuries, which it is not, it is Anges way of playing and training that is causing the injuries.

So, if you are some kind of lunatic who thinks it is all on the injuries, you are actually saying it is all on Ange.

I am pleased that I am no longer in the minority, but I really can't fathom anyone who thinks he should stay. There is no logic.

I find myself not minding too much if we get beat by Everton if it meant he left, no supporter should feel that way.

I mean, it's this kind of lunatic thinking that's just a nonsense and makes it really hard to have a decent discussion

"So, if you are some kind of lunatic who thinks it is all on the injuries, you are actually saying it is all on Ange."

Like just narrow minded nonsense. But put to him that other managers that are getting touted for the job have similar or worse injury records, all of a sudden nuance is applied.

Hi Bales,

I believe that Ange is the main reason for the injuries, so what I was trying to say, is that if it was all down to injuries , he is still the route cause

With regards to 11 injuries at Bournemouth, I don't know enough about those injuries to make an educated judgement, but, he is dealing with it way better than our guy.

Yes and what I'm getting at, is that it's rarely that simple. Aside from rushing back VdV (Romero got a different injury from the one he came back from) you're just blaming the style of football or training or whatever. There's no direct way of attributing blame to him.

If you're just going on your hunch or whatever, fine. But that applies to all of them. What difference does it make it they're hamstrings or calf injuries?

Also, yes they're doing better in the league than us in spite of all their injuries. They're also not in Europe

And what I've been taking aim at is calling people idiots based on a belief you have. You can't actually back it up

Fudge. Don't mean to take it all out on you but this thread is typical of the lack of actual thought or anything from our own fans who apparently care and watch the games. I get that often it's because we've lost, or because we haven't won anything again, but let's do better and just support while it's bad? Isn't that the point?

Like, for example. I keep hearing that our suicidal high line etc is 1. why we lose games. 2. Why we've got so many injuries. It's the 8th highest defensive line in the league .

But there is evidence, the injuries go up at all his clubs.

I think it is a fair assumption that those recovery sprints our CBs have to do are going to cause trouble, and I've heard he likes to train like they play.

If it has happened at all his clubs, he is the common denominator.

I also think he isn't a very good manager. He has one way of playing and looks confused when it doesn't work.

Is that true? All his clubs or just us and Celtic? Genuinely dunno.

Also there's research on the topic and why it's a common thing in football clubs. Ange isn't doing anything drastic or dramatic.

I notice Iraola has 11 players out at Bournemouth. Jus sayin
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair that is really impressive, he seems to be doing a really good job.

What I would say is that for a really long period now we have had many players out and we have been playing pretty much the same 11 every 3 days give or take a rotation of a couple of midfielders.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly. Think back to the Palace game, a fecking age ago. That's the last time we had our back 4 together, bar the disastrous brief return of the CBs vs Chelsea. We've played 19 games since, most of which without Cuti Vicario and VDV, a large chunk without Udogue and Davies. We see when it happens to others, like Newcastle last season, and we see how hard it is to cope.

This isn't a judgment either way on Ange, he still has it all to prove and we all want the key players back and to see what we are capable of. It may not be enough.

I wouldn't mind if we tweaked things tactically to be a bit more conservative in the face of such issues but he doesn't. I don't mind losing the occasional game given the circumstances but when you know you've lost games as a consequence of the stubbornness of the manager, it really starts to irritate.

We heard from Eric Dier just after he left for Bayern when he said Ange doesn't really do any tactical work at all which suggests he's not even remotely paying attention to the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition. That's just not good enough. Why can't he have his philosophy AND do a little tweak here and there depending on who we're playing? It's arrogant to assume he doesn't need it.
