I think it'd be a damn shame if he goes, though I get the money situation. It goes without saying that he's not been great this season, but let's not forget that he's even younger than Amad. He's also been one of only two bright sparks in the whole sorry ETH era - scorer of the goal of the season last year.
I also don't get why it's a position thing. I've never seen Garnacho as a true winger in the classic sense. To me, he's always been more of an inside left. How does that differ from the 'two number tens' that Amorim wants? I think the main issue with his play has been the lack of an attacking LWB behind him.

What’s more worrying is RA could be on his way out come end of the season if results carry on as they are and United have let a potentially WC talent go because he didn’t fit the style of a manager they then sacked 4 months later.

The club's doomed mate, until 2037, when we win the title again. I've seen it

He is a talented player but Amorim has bottled it. Rather than work and develop a young player he has gone for the easy option which is to sell him.

Yep.
Been reported he’s fallen out with him and that’s what it’s all about.
A stupid reason to lose a highly talented player. Top managers are supposed manage, develop and improve their best young players I thought.

Doesn't really fit the system and without a big sale they can't buy any players but yeah he's being sold because of a falling out.........

This. I've seen no reports of a falling out. Amorim dropped him from the squad briefly on the basis of performance in training, and brought him back. That's it, isn't it?

Amorim said that Garnacho was ‘upset’ with him for being dropped against City. Maybe just typical footballer frustration which he got over in time or maybe after being dropped he called his agent and said he wanted out after being humiliated by the Portuguese fraud
(Just covering both extremes)

Don't think there's a fall out at all. He's played him a lot since that game he was dropped and if it was a disciplinary issue then he was right to be dropped anyway.
He's probably going to be sold because we need money. Had the club been able to sell Antony Rashford and Casemiro they would have done that first for sure. Wages means we can't.

My hope is there will be a first option to buy, or something to that effect.

These are the decisions they are paid to make. In circumstances where money is needed and a lot is tied up in immovable expensive declining assets, you are forced down this route to begin the process of change.
You could change nothing but then how could you expect any change on the pitch , how can you judge the manager if he has few of the tools he needs, and the damage that could be done between now and the end of the season could set Utd back even further.
I often see these mid season manager changes as an advantage as the new man comes in, with lessened expectations but a good period of time to work with the squad and understand its needs to work for him. United cannot waste this next 20 odd games flogging a dead horse. You want players in now, learning the system, getting settled and then the whole squad can also start to develop.
