Farke's Presser

Farke and club did fear Struijk's injury was 10/12 weeks.
Or, seasn ending. Good news: not his tendon. However,
thanks to good questions, we now know what Farke
is looking for by way of additions to the squad.

He doesn't want to repeat last season where despite
good news on Struijk injury, he didn't play again. Which
means he and club are actively looking for a CB this window.

He wants to add a #10. Loves Aaronson, but wants
another player capable of doing what he does. Says
others in squad can cover that. But feels we need a 10.

Striker. We only have two fit. Also looking to add there.

Caveat: right player, right attitude, right price.

All great news.

A lot of sites saying we are signing Iheanacho now. Must be something in it.

Brendan has played an important role for us this season and has put down some good numbers. Has his flaws but he is a valuable member of the squad. If we can get some help for him in that 10 position to give the lad a rest and give us a different option in there then great.

Agreed on Aaronson, his stats show he's the 4th most creative player in the player in the league.

Loads of people moaning about him against Norwich but I thought he was excellent. People just love a yearly scapegoat

If Aaronson is the worst player we must have a pretty decent team.

BA is a Duracell bunny really but at times needs to stop and think before he does things. Farke knows this and is trying to educate him.

I really like him and once he learns how to run in a straight line with the ball at his feet I think he will be an excellent player.

That said he does need some serious cover - someone who can push him on even further.

A scapegoat for what? Being in first place?
Scapegoats on this team are Meslier and Bamford.

Agree on Aaronson. New 10 coming in primarily has to be good enough to give BA a rest now and then. His workload this season is incredible.

Also think Beilsa would have loved him.

Aaronson seems to be a victim of the relegation loan clauses, and quite possibly his high transfer fee. He's come back this season and worked hard, stayed fit, and has a very decent return in goals and assists. I loved Rutter and was gutted when he left, but Aaronson has been way more effective. I think Willie could also play at 10 and be more than adequate.
