Just curious to know when the penny dropped with you that ENIC/Levy et al. We're not really serious about competing (PL Title not the odd League Cup here and there or occasional Top 4 finish).
Some won't agree with this and are happy with how we are and have been run by ENIC (yes there are still some people out there that feel this way) Go figure!
I hope this doesn't descend into an argument and get hijacked by rivals who will make some stupid argument pro Levy.
For me there have been a few "telling" moments:
(1) Saha & Nelson for Harry.
(2) Not backing Poch when he said we need to "be brave".
(3) Hiring Mourinho but not backing him (surely you knew what type of manager you were appointing from the start).
(4) Sacking Mourinho before a cup final.
(5) Finally hiring Conte after begging him all summer and then effectively doing the same to him as Mourinho.
Before that I was a little underwhelmed with ENIC I admit, but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and time because we were playing "catch up" revenue wise with rivals. The new stadium was being heralded as a game changer etc.
Scarily though, recently I came across clips and quotes from Levy saying that it's been a "business investment" and strategy for ENIC to make profit buying Spurs from the get go, and that he wasn't really a "fanatic".
This really made me feel sick and just reinforced everything I know truly believe about this board.

I was calling out Levy back when we had CL for the first time and we did nothing until getting van der Vaart in the last minute of the window. That was ridiculous.
