My wife doesn’t always like football much, but even she was in stitches about this kid’s passion. Starts out with coming across as a nice sweet boy full of gratitude….swears his face off for 90 minutes even joining in with our Leeds songs about Cardiff…and finishes up by return with his polite boy persona thanks to Leeds United and the Square Ball.
Leeds fans break out into our anthem Marching On Together at the end… The kid then leaves, declaring “I never want to hear that f****** song again!"
Brilliant!
He deserves a shout out on here… worth watching.

I think being Canadian means I never experienced the hooligan factor of football.
Everyone swears at games here men women kids even babies and fans of both teams sit together in the stands.
Spit, Do you think hooliganism could ever reappear?

Mont, I do hope not… the extreme is the organised fighting between sets of fans.. these groups still exist in some form but the football authorities tbf to them have knuckled down. Fans who are caught are given life time bans and the police do come down hard on any football violence.
Also, maybe todays world of cyber crime over some fellas breaking into your house and stealing your TV makes it a little harder to organise such events… so I don’t think we’ll see it like we did from years gone by.
What we see now, is spontaneous attacks and fights.. like when the Liverpool fans attacked the city bus a few years ago.. I dare say the lads who attacked that bus that day weren’t organised hooligans at all.. more than likely normal lads, who had a few drinks and are with ethos of “we can behave as we like at the football”
A message that can easily be taken from videos like this
In the case of scarf.. obviously a responsible parent, but gave his goods a little more freedom at the football.. well done scarf, of course, not everyone turns out to be the extreme

Dad has him well trained!
------------
no he's not... its taught him he can act totally different at a football match than normal life...
we learnt nothing from the hooligans back in the 80's.. normal fellas doing normal jobs go fighting each other at football matches for some reason.
Pathetic

Point taken…and it’s obvious where he has gained the habit from. My point raised was also about his passion. so what is you opinion about this? Some people would find this far more offensive.
For the record Spanish, as a kid, my father would never permit I swore even in the house. Ironically, that is the unique place I keep my verbal frustrations for.
Also, there are multiple videos of cops using the ‘f’ word (mainly in the USA) which is totally unnecessary also, and makes them look like idiots as well.

Real
to be honest, the chanting between fans I see as harmless banter, so Saville chants, (whilst in poor taste) 1-0 in your cup final, etc etc etc, football just wouldn't be the same without it.
thing is, I find that or similar banter funny away from the football - most on here know my humour, always poking pun, always trying to get a gag in... its not like I change at all when at the football.
my point was, kids swearing at football matches, (and viciously swearing too, wasn't just a case of the odd swear word, was vicious) that are not allowed to at home, or grown fellas who live normal lives resort to violence at the football and somehow its all justified because its football... and as I've stated, it was also the lauding of the video by some of our fans that was actually rather alarming.
lets not get this confused with sets of fans chanting things at each other for harmless banter.. the two are totally different. its not like there's an article on here saying "great Saville chant".. I think most would laugh to themselves, or not... but thats where it ends..

Thanks for that well argued point Spanish. I ageee with you. Let’s not forget how this kid’s blog starts and finishes either. Very polite and well spoken.
Despite losing, he reiterates what is clearly a sincere gratitude to Leeds United and the Square Ball for his day out.
You and Scarf made excellent comments which I agree with. Hopefully, his swearing doesn’t translate to a lack of respect with his family when he’s at home. My mother was born and bred in Cardiff, and yes, I always noticed how much swearing they do down there, which seems more prevalent than other places!
Living in Costa Rica, the first thing I noticed that despite the atmosphere feeling quite intimidating sometimes when I go to matches with my wife, the fans here do very little swearing in Spanish during the games!!

I hope never. Being in my 50s, I am old
enough to remember those dark days. It was terrifying the one time I was in a stadium.

Didn't think I wanted to watch a near on 20min video about Cardiff but must admit I did and it is funny, I have a feeling he didn't think it was but hey!..
As for his swearing, unless his Father is doing the video, how can he stop him, he might not even be at the game so couldn't control him, but I also think if you go in the park on a Sunday and see lads/lasses playing football, you can bet there'll be some if not a lot of swearing thrown about!..
These days I'm not to sure, but maybe not so much the lasses but the iads?..

Yes, he actually introduces his Dad near the start of the video when they are up in the lounge pre-match.

And that I didn't think about!.
So like I said, it might have something to do with his family, so, the bloke incharge of his family was infact the cameraman!..
That is where the blame shoud be pointed!..
