Well there are only 9 contributions, which says a lot. It happened in Black and White days before the PL. And of course football then doesnt count. That's why. The club at OT/Manchester keeps it alive every Feb but the internet generation probably relate to it less and less. What I know is that although it was before my time it was engrained on me by the stories of the rebuild and the glory that culminated from it. It IS the reason (along with the United Trinity in the 60s) as to why me and my mates in school in Manchester in the late 60s and 70s became Reds and didnt even consider being a Blue. It would be more interetsing to hear from Blues at the same time as to why they chose City. (LOL mainly in them days it was because your Dad and elder brother were Red so to be different you chose Blue... if I recall correctly ).
