Will go down as one of the worst chairmen in history.
As much as i point to the Pochettino sacking as a massive turning point, his sacking of Jose before a cup final is when it was evidently clear we will never amount to anything under this fool.

I'm old enough to remember when Spurs were little different from West Ham or Fulham and would often finish in the lower half of the table, and you were miles behind Arsenal. Now Spurs despite their lack of success have become one of the biggest teams in Europe with the best stadium in the country. Levy's legacy is a complicated one, but in a world where many chairmen have absolutely ruined clubs, it's silly to say Levy is one of the worst chairmen in history when he has you in far stronger footing than when he arrived.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What complete shiete is this, pre ENIC we were record FA cup holders, Englands 3rd most successful side in Europe and more league cups than the other London clubs. First team to do the double.
United and Liverpool were bigger and Arsenal were more successful domestically - that was it, there was no other club bigger or better pre ENIC. West Ham have won 5 trophies and never finished higher than 3rd, they are tin pot like Arsenal in Europe.
Fulham have won faaack all
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your being a successful cup team decades ago is irrelevant to the fact that Tottenham Hotspur were a yoyoing midtable team for most of the PL era before the ENIC takeover. You became regular challengers around the top of the table after ENIC took over the club from Sugar. You were midtable jokes for donkey years before that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And this is where you show you don’t know what you are on about - most our fans couldn’t care less about the CL and being top 4. We want trophies and we want to go back to being a side that would win a cup or two every decade.
What faaacks us off more is the manner we go out of these comps - absolutely zero fight anymore.
That Poch CL run was as close to peak 80’s cup Spurs as I have seen - Poch got it, Levy never has
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most of your fans? Speak for yourself. I highly doubt most of your fans don't care about the CL. When you were not winning any cups and making the CL every year, your fans seemed happy enough.
Levy brought Poch to your club and deserves credit for that. And invested in the players that Poch found that success with - a couple like Bale, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker etc signed as youngsters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We would have traded top 4 for a cup win - 99% of Spurs fans would agree with that.
I can’t speak for hand Shandy of course - that khunt wrote a letter to Levy asking for Poch to be sacked

I'm old enough to know you're talking out of your 'arris Sherriff, Levy is a business man who has put the club in a very good place financially. However, he doesn't have good business acumen, if he did he'd know that football should be at the forefront of the Tottenham Hotspur brand so as to gain CL football year on year and year on year build on this. CL football generates 100's millions pounds, much more than the odd Beyonce or NFL events.
24 years, 16 managers, 1 trophy. We have fully embraced the 'Spursy' tag under his stewardship, that's his legacy thus far
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs don’t have any right to really expect to qualify for the CL year on year when United, City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea exist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The sense of entitlement of some of their more deluded fans is hilarious. They went from a mid-table club for most of the PL era to a regular top 4, Champions League club and and are here calling the man most responsible for their rise with his prudent management of the club as "one of the worst chairmen ever" because of one freak season out of the ordinary that they've become used to and taken for granted. Clown show.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed. I don’t think they realise they support Tottenham and not one of the big clubs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the very success that the chairman one of them here was calling "one of the worst ever" that has given them that level of entitlement. It's not that Levy is beyond criticism. He deserves plenty. But it's reetarded to make him out as one of the worst chairmen around when that is clearly nonsensical. I have criticized Arteta a lot this season and the seasons prior. Doesn't mean I think he's one of the worst managers around.

No team has the right - United are living proof of that, biggest side in the country but have been a shambles for a decade now.
Chelsea are on the slide as well.
The difference with Spurs is we only spend 42% of our revenue (record breaking revenue btw) on player wages. This is a huge reason why we don’t compete. Even a dog schitt United side would pay the likes of Sancho £300k a week
The other and by far the biggest issue is that in all of Levy’s years at the club, the only strategy/philosophy/project he has stuck with for more than 18 months is Poch - the blokes a khunt who has turned us into an event destination and away from being a football team
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But the facts remain, those are all bigger and richer clubs than Spurs. That Spurs have got into the financial position they have, which they clearly aren’t exploiting to the level they could and should, doesn’t change that. That’s why suggesting Levy is the worst chairman ever is moronic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the time Levy has been with us, our trophy haul has been matched by Wigan, Portsmouth, Birmingham City, Swansea

From a footballing perspective I think it’s fair - levy is a brilliant businessman though and has improved the financial side of the club considerably.
However, people forget the reason why we have Ange is because no one else wanted to work with Levy, Ange was our 5th choice.
Despite Ange being completely out of his depth, some want to keep him because they are worried about who Levy will bring in next - if anyone will work for him again

Sheriff
Strike, yes and he deserves criticism for that. But Spurs’ average league position, the amount of times they’ve qualified for Europe and their standing in the world of football as a club has increased significantly over the time they’ve owned the club. Spurs’ consistency over the last twenty years has been matched, or surpassed, by about four clubs. Clubs the size of Spurs do not achieve that with the worst chairman ever.

Chelsea only become richer and bigger when Abramovich turned up. Up until the early 1970s, they had won precisely one trophy in their history. They then one three or four more per Abramovich. But they were never really bigger than Spurs. I suspect it may be many years before they win another trophy of note. They may win the farmers league Conference this season, but that will be it for a long time.

Why does that matter? Levy has been Spurs chairman for the entirety of Roman’s ownership. In that time Chelsea have become a far bigger and richer club than Spurs, which is why Spurs have rarely finished above them in that time, and shouldn’t be expected to.
