We all know it’s going to be Sociedad. 🙄

My only worry is that the whole 'game intelligence' thing is something that really becomes important in two legged ties. If we're 2-0 and heading away from home in the 2nd leg, you'd hope we'd sit in and keep things tight and learn to frustrate but you just know the instruction will be for Porro to bomb on from the first minute. We might be made up of better players but i think we probably play the most naive football of any club left in the tournament. We needed a real stroke of luck with the red card against AZ in the last game to turn the tie and that was at home. Absolutely no chance they roll over for us. They're probably just not as good as Sociedad, that's all, but more than good enough to take us out.

We were 1-0 up before the red card.

Used to be an advantage to play at home in European games back in the day. Lose away, then win comfortably at home. The modern game though I don't think it matters. Most teams are just as capable of winning away, as at home. Sours proved that in the semi at Ajax.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's still a big advantage playing at home in Europe, any fool knows that. The semi at Ajax doesn't prove anything.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only a fool doesn't look at facts. All four of the home teams in Tuesdays CL matches failed to win at home, plus one on Wednesday. Meaning only three of th eight sides at home won.
Facts not for you fella.
Looking forward to our meet up.

How could you possibly meet up Sandy as you don’t have his mobile number and have no way of getting now after Admin dealt with you. You haven’t even arranged a date to go to Manchester….

Not your problem Grinch. All you have to do is be at the Corner Pin at 12.30 as arranged.

Oh i'll be there Sandy but we all know that you won't be. What happened to you being adamant that you needed mine and Brothers mobile numbers to be able to meet up?

I thought Ajax away was just a fluke? That’s what you’ve said in defence of your weird hatred of Poch.

Well it was. But irrelevant to what we are discussing.

Let’s not forget that on the one hand Shandy dismissed our run to the CL final because we lost 4 times along the way. Yet on the other hand when we narrowly squeezed past Tamworth under Ange - then it didn’t matter, all that matters is getting through - so that we could be knocked out in the very next round against a semi competent side, something we could all see coming.
He is an absolute hypocrite

Exactly my thinking.
Sociedad are nothing special. Other than the bottom 3 every other premier league club would beat them.

The English arrogance, based on nothing, is unreal!

Have you watched Sociedad? Nothing about English arrogance they are a very poor side this season.
