This article is mainly directed at the deluded clown named Slack Alice (Culer) who decided to become Arsenal’s biggest fangirl as of late…
I have put together a comparison between Arsenal’s first 17 matches of the PL season up to when Saka is out injured and compared them to Liverpool’s first 17 matches.
Note: Saka’s injury happened during Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Palace in December. With Arsenal’s win at the time, they were three points behind but played two matches more than Liverpool. Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/live/cwy3plqdgkdt
Also, as part of this comparison, I have included the CURRENT league position of Arsenal’s and Liverpool’s opponents each week, then calculated the overall average to determine which club had the toughest fixtures. This will address the myth that Liverpool had an easier fixture list. So, the lower overall score, the stronger the schedule is. Since Arsenal faced Liverpool during this run-in, this match was not included as part of finding the average.
Arsenal’s Results
Arsenal 2-0 Wolves(17)
Villa 0-2 Arsenal (10)
Arsenal 1-1 Brighton (8)
Spurs 0-1 Arsenal (13)
Man City 2-2 Arsenal (4)

Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal (7)

Liverpool 3-1 Leicester (19)
Liverpool Pts: 42 pts

So, not only did Liverpool have more points in the same amount of fixtures, Liverpool had a tougher schedule based on current league positions.
Now, just for added measure, now lets see how many points Liverpool would have if Liverpool had the same exact schedule as Arsenal’s first 17 fixtures…
Liverpool 2-1 Wolves
Villa 2-2 Liverpool
Liverpool 2-1 Brighton
Spurs 3-6 Liverpool
Man City 0-2 Liverpool
Liverpool 3-1 Leicester
Liverpool 3-1 Southampton
Bournemouth 0-2 Liverpool
Arsenal 2-2 Liverpool
Newcastle 3-3 Liverpool
**Che v Liv May 3rd
Liverpool 0-1 Nott Forest
West Ham 0-5 Liverpool
Liverpool 2-2 Man United
**Ful v Liv Apr 6th
Liverpool 1-0 Everton
Palace 0-1 Liverpool
Liverpool Pts: 34 pts (two games less)*
Liverpool Avg PPG: 2.27 (15 games)*
Arsenal Avg PPG: 1.94 (17 games)
*updated April 5, 2025
Also, even if you match 15 games each with the same opponents in the same exact schedule, Arsenal’s total points would be 31, or three points less.
Conclusion: Culer is talking out of his ass as usual. Even with a full strength Arsenal squad, they were still behind Liverpool in every way. Liverpool are clearly the better playing team this season.
MYTH: Injuries cost Arsenal the title

What title? This one?
The only thing that cost Arsenal this title is their mediocrity.

He has been since the injury, I think it coincided with him becoming a dad and he seems to just have looked knackered since he got back.
He was still huge for us at the time he got injured and in a game where momentum is pretty important, losing him and Saka in quick succession really has us stuttering.

You have to be very insecure to post something like this.
Liverpool have had a fortunate set of circumstances, but have also maximised it very well. Both things can be true.
