Tomorrow morning Real Sociedad are 2.25 (not sure what that is in fractions) to score 2+ goals against us. They don’t score much in the league but in Europe they’ve scored 2 or more goals in almost all of their games and they’re up against a United side low in confidence and a bit defensively short.
I’m not doing it as 1) I’m still a bit meh about betting against us and 2) I only bet on games I watch and as much as I love the club 4:45am is too early for me.
So would you ever bet against us and if you have, what happened? Win and regret? Lose and cheer?
Would you ever bet against United?

Sociedad have been garbage this season, surprisingly so. Inamol looks like he’s off too and he’s been there ages.
We will beat them 3-1.

You were right the first time surely?
2.25 x 4 = 9

for decimal odds to fraction, you take 1 off the decimal first to get the fraction odds. With decimal, it effectively 'includes your stake' when it is stated.
So 2.25 is the same as 5/4

Going to the Op, I could never back against Utd, and don't understand people who can bet against their team.
Because of the 'emotion involved', I rarely back Utd outright, because it may be more hope than a genuine belief that they will win.
Tend to do a bet builder type bet if a Utd game, so I don't need to rely on them to win

It's easy if you are not blind to your teams faults.
Betting against your own team doesn't mean you want them to lose, it just means you are able to use all the knowledge you have of the team you watch every game to benefit yourself when they do lose.
You have to take emotion out of betting.

In folk are content to make money by betting against their team, that is their prerogative, but I just don't like that feeling.
My view is that I don't need to go into that conundrum - it just doesn't feel right and it wouldn't make me feel any better winning a few quid, knowing that Utd has lost.
So a simple bet builder to keep things interesting for me, but there's enough other things to bet on that no need to get involved in backing against Utd
So I remove any emotion by not
