Best goalkeeper, best defence,

best midfield, and best attack = League Champions 24/25

Whose going to stop us

Yeah could have been a red and some referees may have given but the onfield decision was always going to stand there.

Definitely not one bit concerned with the performance, in fact quite the opposite. In the past we’ve only been great at all out attack and now have several strings to our bow, able to defend in away games against quality opposition, concede possession and shots and still come away with the win. Then in the home leg I imagine we’ll put the game to bed. We’ve been on the end of two defeats in CL finals in recent times having dominated the game but lost it. It’s great to have other ways to play if needed.

Fair enough

I think there was a bit of hyperbole also with the game. People aren’t used to Liverpool sitting in and not controlling the possession and felt like it was some sort of backs against the wall blocks, keeper saves etc but ultimately they created very little in the way of clear cut chances and with 27 shots only had an chance of 1.6 or something which is basically a load of small xg chances added up. They actually only had one clearcut chance which came after a mistake in defence passing the ball to them, in the first half. Think it was Vitinha who put it over the bar after it deflected out to him. They controlled the possession well but then we were set up to concede possession and counter. The countering part was unfortunate nowhere near where it should have been but the one clearcut chance out of two in the whole game was scored on the counter.

Like I say, fair enough. To me there's different ways of controlling the game, with or without the ball and it didn't feel like a particularly controlled defensive performance over the course of the game to me, but that's just my opinion. Although you did look more controlled the more frustrated they got, but that hinged on being fortunate in the early exchanges - similar to how we should have gone 1-0 down against PSV I guess.

There isn’t really a “could have” about it, konate pushed him over from behind

The bar for a red card is denial if a goalscoring opportunity, and that’s what happened, is doesn’t matter if it was a push in the back of a leg breaker.

It has to be a foul first to be a denial of a goal scoring opportunity. Nobody is stating denial of a goalscoring opportunity isn’t a red. The debate is whether it was enough for a foul. I’d personally say yes but there will definitely be others, including the referee who thought it wasn’t enough.

PSG player looks offside here, but I think the screenshot is deliberately taken a few frames after the pass.

Wish we new for sure what happened, how is there still no explanation for VAR decisions.
