A financial expert has proposed this as the name for the new stadium and has predicted it could net the club £50-60m a year.

My thoughts are that I'd rather stay at Old Trafford and I'd rather not have it named something else. However, things move on and if the club is to progress, and this is the way forward, then we'd be stupid not to. The ground will still be in pretty much the same place and it'll bring something to the area. I'm slowly getting round to the idea.
What say you JA606ers?
Snapdragon New Trafford?

What's with all this New Trafford nonsense? The area the stadium is in is called Old Trafford, so New Trafford makes no sense.

New Trafford doesn't even mean make sense anyway. The area is called Old Trafford.
The guy who wrote that article has plucked that name form his rear end.

It’s just a clever play on words. No one is going to think they’re in an area called ‘new’ Trafford, it’s because it’s a new stadium and the old one had ‘old’ in the title.

When it comes to it I could see it being called something like "Snapdragon Stadium @ Old Trafford " or similar.

That's way too optimistic on naming rights.
£50-60m per year he reckons, not even Real Madrid get anywhere near that and Levy @ Spurs hasn't managed to get £25m deal.

In a world where we a re debt free it would absolutely keep the same name.
In our predicament there's not a cat in hell's chance. Unless the parasites have sold off their shares and the debt is wiped out......We're definitely going to have a sponsor of some kind.
Emirates
Etihad
Amex
Vitality
We won't be the first and definitely won't be the last

Yeh I know what you mean...
But if we can keep it to INEOS Old Trafford, or Whoever Old Trafford.
But not to lose the name Old Trafford and instead come up with a daft smartsarse marketing agency brainstorming session name like New Trafford (ged it, hey? See what we did there....I will be happy.
