Imo Rothwell gets blown away in the PL doesn’t have the legs if we can get him for a couple of million as a squad man then fair enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I keep hearing that and maybe it's true as Bournmouth have obviously loaned him out twice but he seemed quite energetic last night but that's not the EPL but as an impact sub on 70 mins I think he'd definitely be worth snapping up but maximum price being 5 million and then the same with Solomon for no more than 7 million.

Solomon for no more than 7m, no chance we get him for that

I think if the money's right Firpo, Rothwell and Solomon are all worth a squad place.
We can't buy 10-15 players. Not in one window at least.

Maybe another loan then because as far as I'm aware due to the spending rules and our spending this last 2 seasons we can't net spend more than 80/90 million but maybe someone can confirm this but I'm sure I read it that we are slightly hampered compared to Ipswich and Southampton who were able to splash over 100 million....The point being if the club are looking for value like they got with Tanaka then if Solomon is more than 7 million so say 10-12 million I think they'll look elsewhere but another loan deal then definitely I'd like to see him in our squad next season along with Rothwell but first let's get there obviously and this morning things look a lot better again but Saturday early kick off against QPR is a potential banana skin with tired limbs and minds so hopefully we get through that unscathed and one game and 3 points nearer to automatic promotion.

I was one that suggested AO looked tired on Sunday and maybe needed a rest. How wrong was I? All he needed was letting loose a bit like he was second half last night. What a player!

“Ao Tanaka versus Millwall was the first midfielder to win 10+ duels, complete 75+ passes and score a goal in a Championship game in any of the last five seasons. The man was everywhere!”

How do you know what we’ve spent last two seasons 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

First ive heard about us been hampered compared to Southampton and Ipswich ?

You do know that transfer fees are amortised over length of the contract, ie a £10m player signs on a 5 year deal, will cost the club £2m each year in the accounts.

He one of best players in champ, played regular in champions league, scoring goals, only 25.

you aint getting him for £7m

Firpo is a good footballer but not a left back, got away with it because it's such a weak championship and we have the best players by far
Even so would like him to stay

Probably not although his injury record in the EPL
wasnt great but he appears to have overcome his last injury woes I definitely read there's a new 85% spending cap allowed on wages /transfers of your total revenue coming into place for the start of the 2025/26 premier league season and along with the £105 million loss allowed over 3 seasons it basically means Leeds are not going to have quite as much to spend as if they had got promoted last season but how much exactly that figure is I'm not sure but I'm sure it was below £100 million and I can't find the article which I think was the Yorkshire Post or Yorkshire Evening Post last month.

Either way I'm confident we've got a pretty good recruitment team that will want to get good value and don't get me wrong I like Solomon but I'm not sure unless it's a loan they'll want to splash what has been reported to be Spurs wanting 15 - 20 million but ofcourse I could be wrong and they do but I'm thinking the club will be searching around Europe and beyond for Tanaka type bargains.

We shall of course see in due course what unfolds in the summer but I do think they will have to spend at least £20 million on a half decent striker which is dirt cheap for an EPL striker so hopefully a hidden unknown gem is captured that can help us survive but I can't see us being in the running for the likes of Delap who I bet Ipswich will want at least 30 or even £40 million.

The change in rules to an 85% spending cap have been deferred a year due to the Man City legal cases disputing the legality of associated party transaction rules.

We should be targeting a turnover of over £200m if we are promoted and we must have made a decent profit this season with all the sales.

I would be surprised if we aren’t able to spend more than most if not all promoted sides have before
