I know TV has a big say in things but sometimes clubs are hugely disadvantaged because of the way they pan out.
This week we are the victims I think.
Both Sheff U and Burnley were at home last Saturday. They then played at home Tuesday and have Sunday to warm down, Monday to train and as they are at home possibly light training Tuesday.
We played away Sunday, had Monday to warm down, Tuesday to train and maybe light training Weds.
Now we see Burnley have and extra day before they travel to Swansea (3pm KO) Sheff U have an extra two days before their 3rd home game in a row.
Leeds get one day to warm down, one to train and one to travel to QPR.
Hopefully it evens out before the season ends but I look at this week and think “why".

Maybe it's like horse racing when the handicapper tries to level up the race ?
After all we have by far the best players/squad.

QPR have an extra day on us. Do we get extra revenue because we are on the box?

The Championship’s TV money is equally distributed amongst all participants in the league, with each side collecting a share worth 2.5 million pounds.
Moreover, a Championship club would earn a figure between 10,000 and 100,000 pounds for every broadcasted match on British television.
Championship Between 10,000 and 100,000
Premier. league 1.1 million
Total (per season)
Championship. 330 million
Premier league. 2.3 billion

More to the point, with the owners we have, the petty earnings we make from playing Portsmouth and QPR at this level, at this critical stage of the season out is at a huge disadvantage.
I am sure if OPTA had some way to crunch the ‘fairness’ numbers, Leeds would come bottom every single season at this level.

I’d bet it averages out.season starts one weekend, ends for everyone prior to,playoffs and everyone plays 5he same number of games. There’s gonna be some periods of advantage and perceived disadvantage.
Also I’ve never understood why playing Thu- Sun is different from Wed-Sat yet fans moan like fck about being in the lesser euro comps. Souls were sold for TV money so suck it up.

Just one of the reasons why Leeds need to be really good to get out of this league. Can’t have excuses at end of the day but I really do think if Leeds had put in the performances that say Sheff Utd had this season, no way would we be top 2.
Playing away to biggest crowds of season that are well up for it, whereas our rivals go to half empty grounds who don’t care. Preston away this season was like a playoff semi final, Blackburn playing Joy Division before kick off, Pompey was rocking.
Fixtures moved all time to early kick offs. Remember Bielsa’s first season where we were constantly playing after Sheff Utd and Norwich in the run in, after they’d won with extra pressure.
We don’t get any help from anyone, officials included so need to do it all ourselves

Sat - Tuesday- Sun and three home games is a bit different to Sun - Weds - Sat and two away games.

Fact is, Sky know that a Leeds fixture is a bigger draw than most Premier League fixtures, so it makes sense, from a revenue point of view, to put Leeds into a separate time-slot. If we get promoted, this should be a thing of the past. But we are being seriously disadvantaged by the scheduling and I am personally dreading the QPR match. But at least we will be top two regardless of the result.

We have the best squad in the league.
Heart goes out to those who travel to away games with so many fixture changes but Leeds should be able to ride out any issues with the fixtures by rotating the squad as needed.
The extra £1m we will earn from all the games is very handy.
