Looks like the move to Hull has been really good for him.
Playing well, scoring, and looks happy. In turn, I'm really
happy for Joe. Good player who I've always liked.
Finally able to play week in, week out. Enjoying himself.
Hope this leads to a permanent move in the summer.

A dead cat could play Aaronson's role

His skill set just didn’t fit our team at any point. One of those that would have been a better fit when more teams played 2 strikers.
Good technical ability but slow and small. He’ll have a good championship career.

Good assessment. Scores a few goals and we’ve let pele go. Meanwhile aaronson should be replaced by a dead cat. How’s this clown Farke got us top of the league? Imagine how far clear we’d be if the fans picked the team?

Well, if I was the coach, I would have gotten a new keeper and a centre back in January, bought Hamer (but mainly to take a key player off our rivals, like Toon when they bought Chris Wood off Burnley), given more game time to Willie and Ramazani, pay Wrexham to take Bambi, give that linesman last night a right b0llocking, and make Aaronson watch Burnley matches non-stop until he learns to keep the ball on the ground. Seriously, though, with the players we have, we should be miles ahead.

The thing with Brendan is its gone too far down the line now and everyone has jumped on the the imaginary bandwagon that he's awful every week. Sure he has bad games and he has dropped off of late, but he has played a lot of football.
Doesn't matter whether he has a good game, people have already made their minds up and wont change opinions even when he plays well (which he has done a lot this season)

Despite this being a thread to acknowledge Joffy,
we've got onto BA? Weird. However, it's a fact that
BA has played a ton. Massive amount. In a role
that needs him to chase and move all game.
He's done well. Very well. Now he is looking leggy.
Knackered. So would any player being asked to
cover the 10 role on his own.
I blame a combo of the club and Farke. Mainly
I blame Farke. Farke wanted Buendia. And rumour
was, only him. Club tried but couldn't land him
(mainly due to him not wanting to drop down to the
Champo). Club had other options ready. It didn't
happen and here we are.
Can't blame the workload he's been asked to carry
on BA. Farke could try one of his wingers or roll
with Piroe (and he has), a bit more often to spell
him and give him breathers.
Maybe Farke was pushing and limiting his rotation
in order to get to the International break?

For a player in his position, BAs pass completion rate is excellent, his chances created are excellent his goal contribution, real and expected are good. (Caveat he obviously plays in a dominant team). Off the ball he leads the press, covers more yards than anyone else, works his socks off and has an engine that means he can do that for the full 90.
Downside, he’s lightweight, sometimes runs down blind alleys, doesn’t have a fancy step over and is one of the ‘rats’.
He’s been a major contributor to our success this season… good enough a level up? Probably not but he’s not alone in that.

Some of the stick BA gets is way over the top. Having stated that, stats like pass completion can hide some shortcomings. How many of those passes are 5 yard sideways or backwards balls?
Perhaps more critically how many are defence splitting passes which create good chances?
I think he works hard, chases and presses well but is easily overpowered and brushed aside in the physical battles.
On balance he has contributed to our success so far this season but he is not a no 10 in the same mould or quality as Pablo. We were very lucky to have Pablo and we compare all players who followed him in that role to him. They are very few and far between.

Gruev
Bamford
Aaronson
Meslier
The four that get the most flak.
Even when they play well they get flak!

TBF Bamford's been robbing the club blind for
4 straight seasons. He's exhausted the medicine
cabinet. And put the medical team in stress rehab.
He's done nothing. Is nothing. And is a pompous
twat. A pompous tw4T who can't score. Berates
team mates when he's actually fit for 5 minutes
of game time. But, he did represent England in a
friendly against Andorra's pub team. Lasted 65
minutes and looked garbage. Outside of that,
yes, great point. We should never make our minds
up about club legends like...pukes...Bamford.
