Politics thread! by Crouch?

This thread, is the personification of hypocritical cancel culture & gas lighting in its purest form.

It prides its self on being intellectually aware & progressive.

The reality is the majority of the posters are not prepared to enter into any form of debate with topics that they are not in agreement .

They adopt a pack mentality and crudely insult and disrespect anyone who they dont understand. Most of the time they are misinformed and quick to rush to judgement with out actually entering into honest exchange .

They are truly determined to exist in a echo- chamber of their own making and have little interest in honestly discussing the real issues that are at the root of the problems facing their country.

The thread commentators lack compassion & in reality adopt an i'm all right jack approach.

Also if you didn't bother to vote that's your right. However you're not in a position to then whinge about the state of the country if you didn't participate in choosing who runs it.
----------------------------------------------------
The most dangerous thing in politics is an uneducated voter (which is the majority) who thinks like this! People like Trump feed off it.

People should educate themselves properly of course, but if you don't want to - DON'T VOTE.

Not really, it's more the people that parrot the 'they're all the same so I won't vote' narrative who lean more towards the contrarian, edgelord, Trumpian/Faragian/Reform end of politics. It's bog standard shiite trotted out by the RW press and echoed on RW platforms like Twitter.

I agree, that's the majority. And those people wind up voting because they think they should, that's dangerous.

That is in fact correct

I see no reason why we donot introduce a formal abstention vote.

This is done in the Commons for MPs every week when parliament is in session.

Other countries do operate such a vote.

This will gage the number of dissatisfied voters.

Once again krasnov, this is something that already exists and you're pretending to be too ignorant to know about

Crouch, Ok,

Look im not sure what your insisting, but i appreciate you have a view which your are wedded to , i have no issue with that.

Likewise, i do have my view, my position and after a life time of being totally exasperated by political parties and politicians of every side spending my tax on policies and causes I do not agree with, I feel i have earnt the right to make my own choices.I definitely feel I dont deserve to be lectured.

Nothing more , nothing less.

Respecting & understanding differing views is very democratic, but continuously insisting that for whatever reason an opposing view is wrong or pointless & is imo at the core of our polarised society.

A tad hypocritical by those who are focussed on the up keep of Human rights, imo.

This issue puts people continuously at odds with each other and is eliminating our ability to debate and try to understand an opposing view.

Personally i enjoy and find it essential to listen to opposing views as I find it helps me at least understand the opposing view whether i agree or not.

Its like faith to each his own

? crouch,

I really do not know ?

But I can see what you presenting that some one is collating spoilt ballot paper stats?

That is not imo , or my understanding a formal vote.

But like i have said, i honestly do not know.

You said you should be able to formally abstain, I showed you how you can exercise that option and have been able to since the dawn of democracy in the UK

You then did your thing of responding in a deliberately incoherent way, I don't know what your game is but you're clearly not here to talk politics in good faith

The fact that you made an article about me running an echo chamber despite Peks not being banned from the thread confirms that to me
