Assuming Reece James starts tomorrow...

Surely gotta be him at LB "inverting", Gusto keeping his place after one of his best performances in ages against Spurs.

Hoping -
Rob
Gusto Chalobah Colwill Reece
Palmer Caicedo Enzo
Madueke Nkunku
Jackson

Warsaw away Thursday -
Jorgensen
Josh Tosin Badiashile Cucurella
Dewsbury-Hall Amougou??
Sancho Nkunku George
Neto

4 years since we've beaten Brentford away
Chalobah started in both.

No time like the present

I think we should play a stronger squad in the conference league, they are a decent side.

As far as our remaining League fixtures are concerned we have 24 points to play for , we are on 52 points. It will more than take 66 points & G/D to secure C/L football.

So based on this calculation we do require 14 points out of 24.

Must win tomorrow, we are in a better position squad wise, but its going to be a tough battle to get that return considering our run in.

If we do though and get to the final in the Conference League i think we can say we’ve not had a poor season despite the ups & downs.

It is on a knife edge!

lol really don't get the hate for Cucurella, one of our top 3 or so performers this season.

Cucurella is literally our best player and most energised player
Whole team revolves around him

And Cmf wants to drop him, what a surprise

"I think we should play a stronger squad in the conference league, they are a decent side."

That will be the fastest way to injury and burnout key players for important run-in.

Fact of the matter is Chelsea will be playing 6 matches within the space of 17 days this month. That's a lot in a short space.
First choice can't play all of them and shouldn't, that just simply wouldn't be wise. There has to be comprehensive rotation match to match, given the schedule of matches every three days...

You make rotations accordingly where you can, second string can beat a not very good Warsaw side, in fact Copenhagen were stronger opposition yet we fielded a rotated side, which is the right thing to do to protect the key players for the league.
Of course, when we come up against what will potentially be Betis or Fiorentina then at that point you field your strongest possible side.

I will question Maresca' ability to coach and get the must out of a squad, if I see the same unrotated lineup for the upcoming 6/7 matches.

Mf,

Yes I do get it , but I think that a full rotation my we’ll leave us vulnerable at a time where a loss would create a huge loss in confidence just when we desperately need to kick on.

I’m not suggesting we don’t protect the weakest , but most important links , but imo this is the time to put out a stronger squad where possible.

Of course the League is the priority, but getting knocked of the Conference would be a huge psychological blow .
