David Coote’s Sacking: Title Race Impacted?

Genuine question to Arsenal fans…

When the video footage emerged of David Coote calling out Klopp’s behaviour, and using a swear word about him, did you think then that it could influence this season’s title race? I know this sounds a bit far fetched, but hear me out because there’s definitely something with it.

With zero doubt in my mind, I believe that when Coote’s words went viral, the referees knew they’d have to be more delicate towards Liverpool to maintain an illusion of integrity towards them. Just think back to the outrage from fans, media and Liverpool as a club.

Immediately in football there was pressure on all EPL referees to be kinder to Liverpool; after all David Coote had been exposed as pretty much corrupt apparently, so surely all EPL referees were? Right?? There was immense pressure on referees from all angles after the Coote incident and it’s helped kill off Arsenal in the title race.

Unfortunately the sharp end of Liverpool’s reaction to David Coote has, in my opinion, resulted in pretty much all favourable decisions going for Liverpool and several instances of poor/unheard of/never seen before decisions going against Arsenal to hamper their title bid; again in turn helping Liverpool.

The injuries have been one thing for Arsenal, but the referees have been like a mafia against them. Look at Everton’s penalty yesterday for God’s sake!

I think this is dismissed by the fact that referees have still been trying to stop us. Next

Oh yeah like just the other day when an offside goal, Diaz behind Tarkowski, counted for Liverpool to win the game??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tarkowski shouldn't have been on the pitch

Let's also not forget the two Everton goals that shouldn't have counted in the reverse fixture.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah he should’ve been sent off for a firm tackle, during which he won the ball? Dear God find another sport to watch. It’s not basketball/no contact.

We had more injuries last season and were only one point off Arsenal after 31 games.
____________
And like this season had some of the worst decisions of the entire season go against us. The numerous joke decisions at Spurs again, macallister red rescinded, numerous apologies etc. Shame we burnt out and dropped off as if we'd have won that league title it'd have been some achievement and a massive finger to PGMOL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you just go by decisions last season that were confirmed to be incorrect by the Premier League/KMI panel last season then you have:

Diaz goal and Jota's red against Spurs - cost 3 points.
Odegaard handball on the box - cost 2 points and gained arsenal a point.
The Doku kick on Mac Allister - cost 2 points and gained city a point.

Those games alone would have had Liverpool finish 2nd, a point behind city (v familiar that), and ahead of Arsenal.

Slack, it's like you've never watched a Liverpool match this year. The refs have been criminally bad for them all year.
Meanwhile your team arsenal get a couple of deserved red cards and the world's out to get them.

The refs support their bank balances. Don't think they have enough morality to support a team over personal gain. They would sell their own mothers to Arabs for the right price.

(Disclosure, any Arabs wanting to buy a mother, I'll happy take a couple of hundred for mine.)

Just watching super Sunday. All the pundits are agreeing that Liverpool simply aren’t very good. It’s the truth! The season has been poor quality.
