Protests

Did anyone from here go to the protest on Sunday?
I couldn’t but I will likely go to the next one.

To be more successful we need a change in ownership.
Look at last night. Can you imagine our current side beating Madrid 3-0? Not in a million years
That’s because we simply don’t have the quality. And we don’t have the quality because ENIC won’t pay the transfer fees or crucially the salaries to lure the quality to the club.
It really isn’t rocket science

And before you say “Enic aren’t going anywhere, suck it up" etc etc - what are we supposed to do?? Just continue like this for another 25 years?? While all our rivals leave us in the dust??
We are 14th in the PL for a reason- our players and manager aren’t good enough and don’t have the mentality to be good enough
In a tough market, players who are technically and mentally good enough cost money. More money than Enic will ever pay.

To be honest most fans don’t have a problem with the concerts and stuff. It raises money, an independent revenue stream and raises the profile of the club in general
What we have an issue with is not investing in the football side enough and the appearance of priorities not being in the right place.
We all support THFC for the football. I noticed Levy has subtly removed all reference to the football club in the marketing of the brand “Tottenham Hotspur” - not a football club as the priority. That’s the issue with ENIC

Alot of Karens on here do have a problem with it and constantly moan when the club make announcements regarding go karting, concerts ect...

Tottenham have spent the third most in the league over the last five years, what more investment are you actually hoping for?

You're not paying attention to the wages. Spending big on transfer fees is the cheap commitment because it's often amortised. What really counts is the wage commitment over the course of a contract because that really affects the pool of talents you can pick from. If you have a low cap, players, or good players, simply won't want to join. Ours has decreased and decreased and decreased despite record profits in recent years owed to the stadium and events hosting. There is no real correlation between heightened revenue streams and better players coming in. if anything, we're now buying young to push the wage percentage down further. The rumour was that we wanted Eze or Neto and we ended up with Odobert. Still 30m but far, far lower wage demands than the other two, but a far greater financial risk because there's no guarantees this kid is any good, compared to the absolute bankers Neto and Eze are.

Check this link out because it covers exactly what I'm taking about...

RIght, but you're also 7th in that table, with Villa perhaps the only surprising club above you.

You only pay 18m less than us, and we have CL bonuses etc to pay.

The arguments don't really stack up to me, I think financially Spurs actually punch above their weight class.

Yea I was there. Decent turnout around 700 is my guess.

Fairly well organised and was all pretty friendly.

Think going forward they need to be more unified with the chants etc as was different sections doing different stuff.

Seen a few negative comments about it but we have to remember this is the beginning not the end and need to keep building it up each and every time

I will simplify it.

59,000 plus of the 60,000 who attended the match were not at the protest. They were all laughing at those that were. Thinking what a waste of time, energy and drinking time.
