Personally I think it’s a lot easier to watch a player and decide if they’re PL standard, than it is to watch a team and decide if the manager is PL standard. I don’t consider myself qualified to judge - far too many factors involved.

I think we fans struggle to grasp what managers can and can’t control, what’s going on behind the scenes, when they’ve been let down by players etc. Like any job, some people are better than others, sometimes they’re just a better fit. Personally, I don’t think it’s as simple as PL quality manager and championship quality manager, but just my view.

"He tried to stick to his principles and didn't have the playing staff to make them work at Norwich."

So basically, he didn't get the backing needed in the premiership!..

Neither did Bielsa, but we didn't have the people we have now running the club, and the way they've done things at the moment I think they know more of what has to be done than all from Ridsdale on did!..

And if we do go up, these people have set the club up to cope better now then it would have last season, keep the right players and bring in a few new we should be ok!..

He had no backing after the first promotion, they spent a fair bit second time. Didn’t make much difference. But yeh agree with the point, he has a better chance with us than he had with them.

I get that some think Farke is Pep Guardiola. Some think he's very good. Some think he's done well but
has flaws. And some think he's not good enough
for the Prem (me).

I will say this, last season Maresca and McKenna
proved themselves to be far better than him. Maresca
doing well at Chelsea. But Leicester on way back
down. McKenna's Ipswich are fighting for their lives
but same fate awaits them. Martin out thought Farke
in play off final. Then got fired as he was too rigid and
wouldn't adapt to the Prem when needed. Saints set
new records in Prem futility.

Pount is, 3 managers, better than Farke went up.
Now those 3 teams are coming back down (McKenna
and Martin were backed).

What makes people confident that Farke who has
shown his limitations in the Championship, while
overseeing the highest paid squad two seasons running, who has also been relegated twice, can all
of a sudden do something he hasn't done before?
Against some of the best managers in the world?

I'll stick with if we do go up and he's in charge,
he'll be sacked before xmas. And we'll more than
likely be sweating it alongside the other two
promoted sides. Saying that, still looking forward
to it all regardless.

Who’s said he’s Pep? Who has expressed confidence he will keep us up? Maybe they have and I missed it…Think most are saying he obviously had the benefit of a very good squad for the championship but has still done well to get us where we are. Been a largely healthy debate on his pros and cons.

I think this side as it stands is better than any of the 3 sides who went up last year. (Think we were better than them last year actually but we floundered at the death) I think expectation should be greater for us whoever the manager is… but it will obviously be a significant achievement to stay up.

I have and always will say that if, anybody comes into this club and improve it then I'm as happy as the next, but the crap being blasted about these boards against the top of the league and a main favourite to win promotion boss is uncalled for, but like every year, most of the time we have people that think they can do better then the people that have us where we are, when truth be had, they couldn't!..

Players getting grief for being part of those that have got us here!..

Manager getting more crap for getting us where we are!..

But like I said a few times, if we can find better than great, but until then just let the club and its employees get on with the job in hand!..

It doesn't only stop the crap around here, it also takes the pressure of those that are getting crapped on!..

I'd personally like The 49ers to handover the reigns to Red Bull and for them to install an upgrade to DF but I'm not so sure that will happen and if we do manage to get promoted without anymore hiccups so fingers crossed against Bristol City at the latest then I think DF will remain which I sincerrly hope I'm wrong in thinking we will be lucky to have more than 3 or 4 points after a dozen games which pretty much seals your fate regarding coming straight back down but of course DF could prove myself and a lot of others wrong who doubt his EPL abilities so perfectly happy to be proven wrong and if he is given £100 million plus worth of EPL quality players then that will certainly help as the bottom line is whoever manages us has got an extremely tough job on
their hands so recruitment is key to ensure we finish at worst 17th next season.

I don't think the Red Bull handover in the Summer is too far fetched - it would give the 49ers a very healthy quick return. So the question is, 'Are the 49er's in it for the long haul?'

Yeah there's one.
Just saw an interesting tidbit.
Every team in the championship can still either be relegated or promoted.

Germany, we're not allowed to voice opinions on a football forum?
I personally like Farke but don't think he'll cut the mustard in the PL. Not sure what the 49ers think but the worst case scenario is firing the manager mid season IMO.
