Comparison with last year - update 7

Morning all🌞.

Don’t think I’ll need to do another one of these😁, so:

State of play after 43 games:

Season 2023/24*

1. Leicester City 91 pts
2. Ipswich Town 89 pts
3. Leeds United 87 pts
4. Southampton 84 pts

Season 2024/25

1. Leeds Utd. 91 pts (GD 54**)
2. Burnley FC 91 pts (GD 45**)
3. Sheffield U 86 pts
(only need to worry about top 3 now😁).

(* 2023/24 table on 20 April 2024).
(** only Burnley are anywhere near us in terms of GD).

Moral of this tale? We’re fookin’ promoted on Monday😁.

💙🤍💛

… oh and whilst I’m updating things, I’ve just been through Earl’s MDT again and the Leeds JA606 Members List 2025 seems to be up to date. Anyone missing, please do shout:

Just want the Maths to tell me we're promoted or at the the very least the GD on SU to say it's over.

A point against Stoke could well be enough to see us promoted. Sheff Utd have to go for broke now against Burnley. If we beat Stoke, we could well be up after the Burnley/Sheff Utd game. Would love us to beat Stoke and Burnley and Sheff Utd to draw as ideally want us promoted as champions. Last night’s result was massive, to keep the Blunts at arms length.

Please don't say we are promoted until we ARE...don't tempt fate.

Good morning all
A Haleys comet moment last night as a manager complained to the referee about pro Leeds bias.

Honestly cannot remember the last time this happened and don't know what the bias decisions were, so well done to the ref for being fair and even handed.

I noticed that too, Earl, the ref was generous to us and, for the most part, we were the spoilers and time-wasters, especially in the second half. I can’t remember us doing ‘a Burnley’ like that all season, but wasn’t it effective? I think the EFL may be quietly acknowledging the poor officiating at the Boro game, and are telling refs to be even-handed with us till the end of the season. We got away with a lot of sh1thousery today.

Didn't think there was any bias towards us yesterday. Just the referee was even for a change. Theres usually a bias against us so we are just used to that.

Yep, agree with the comments above re: our dark-arts (my words) in the game … was really funny to see us get away with it for once when so many others have done it to us in the past. Karma.

Talking of spiritual destiny, I’ve no superstitions and am certain we’ll be promoted on Monday😁

True,Outwood, for once, we saw a ref booking players for bringing our lads down. Normally, opposition defenders get away with kicking the cr@p out of us. I will be so glad to get out of this league.
