The shortlist for PFA Scotland player of the year has been announced.
The 4 contenders and why they deserve to win:
Callum McGregor - The stand out player for Celtic this season. They would not be where they are this season without his incredible stand out efforts, single handedly carrying Celtic to where they are in the table.
Nicolas Kuhn - The stand out player for Celtic this season. They would not be where they are this season without his incredible stand out efforts, single handedly carrying Celtic to where they are in the table.
Daizen Maeda - The stand out player for Celtic this season. They would not be where they are this season without his incredible stand out efforts, single handedly carrying Celtic to where they are in the table. 16 goals for Celtic.
Simon Murray - The stand out player for Dundee this season. They would not be where they are this season without his incredible stand out efforts, single handedly carrying Dundee to where they are in the table. 16 goals for Dundee.
It is therefore clear that there is one standout winner from the 4, and that is the 3 Celtic players. They have each been the stand out player at their club and almost single handedly dragged their side to where they are in the table.
Also 16 goals for Maeda is incredible for a side who have only scored 102 goals in the league this season. That's just over 15% of the club's goals. Up against such tough opposition as well compared to the resources Celtic have available. Incredible numbers.
