that have yet to see Spurs lift a trophy? Or at best only a league cup or two. Last FA Cup win 1991. So probably have to be in your 40s to remember that. Last league win 1961. Definitely have to be my age, mid 70s or older.
Well that could all be about to change in three weeks time. This could be the chance to finally see Spurs lift a trophy.
Are you all getting excited?

I hate to tell you this, Sandy old boy......but my Dad took me to WHL to what the great 1950 team that won the second division (now the Championship) and then the First Division (now the Premiership) in successive years.
That was the team that included Alf Ramsey, Billy Nicholson, Len Duquimin, the great Ron Burgess (Capt) and yes.....GK Ted Ditchburn.
Never been done since I think..

Wrong as usual Ted. Ipswich did it in 1962. You really need to brush up on your footie history. I have to keep correcting you.

I was at the 1984 Uefa Cup final. Also attended FA Cup finals in 1982 & 1987, and both the Charity Shields in the early 1980’s. Was also at the 1982 League final, or as it was called then the Milk Cup final.

Don’t remember the fa cup win. Remember the 1999 vaguely. 2008 yes but was at uni so was a bit out of the spurs loop… wasn’t going to games etc.

Same for me in 1999. I was also at uni and I just think you have other priorities so that win didn't really impact me as much. Came back and slowly fell back in love with the club. Weird how that happens.

my earliest memory clearest memory was the 1982 FA Cup final vs QPR, the replay, it was mid week and i was a kid but allowed to stay up and watch it (my parents were strict, so this was a real coup!).
That's what got me into Spurs and the 1984 UEFA cup final is a much clearer memory, but i was still very young. Teenage when we lost to Coventry, remember watching that at a mates house with 2 girls and i think i was more concerned with showing off then the actual result.
Remember the 1991 FA Cup SF and Finals like they were yesterday. I loved that Gazza era, he was out of this world. Remember him more than i do prime Hoddle.
After that we were so shiiiit in the 1990s and i was a skint student that while my support stayed, my interest was less intense. The Ossie years were brilliant and awful at the same time and i have a memory of us losing in the SF to Everton. I was at Uni, living in SE London, we went out to watch the London marathon go through Greenwich, starting drinking, went back to our house, had a big BBQ for about 20 Uni mates, more drink & weed, watched us lose to Everton and was so smashed at that point i actually cried. It was embarrassing but i did get some "sympathy" off girl i fancied, so worth it

I know Ipswich did it....but I like to think they didn't.
And Spur were the first.

The first time it happened was in 1906. Liverpool won Division 2 in 1904–5 and followed it up by winning the Division 1 title in 1905 -6. Everton then achieved the feat in 1931–32. Tottenham Hotspur were next in 1950–51. Ipswich Town also were sucessful, with their only title win in 1961–62. And thats your lot!
