The Football regulator ?

Is the Labour party the new nasty party ?

The Football Governance Bill will establish a new Independent Football Regulator (IFR) for English men’s elite football. The IFR will be set up as a new public body to ensure its operational independence and accountability.

Will this be good for the game ?

History does illustrate that any time the a government regulator get involved things will go 7its up?

The first thing a football regulator needs to do is reign in spending and clubs that break and circumnavigate the rules for their advantage need to ge given immediate punishment. Not keep kicking the can down the road, as is currently happening with a couple of clubs. Relegations should not be off the table.

Sandy , do i sense a sense of envy ?

CFC's recent asset sales are not judged to be a circumnavigation of the rules, or an adoption of loopholes.

Its a strategy that adopts risk within the permitted framework

If Independent Football Regulator means someone who is actually independent and not someone hand-picked by the Red Cartel like Richard Masters then I'm all for it.

No, it will have a chairman who will be selected by the Government and the IFR will be accountable to Parliament.

That's not independent, that is open to influence from political and other agendas.

“Such is the disparity between Bodo/Glimt and Tottenham that the entire 55,000 population of the Norwegian team's town could fit inside the Premier League side's stadium.”
