I think it’s fair to say that Reform are a real danger to the Tory party and there may be a wipeout in the next general election at this rate. Will the Tories try and form some sort of partnership with Reform to even stay relevant in 2028?
It’s election weekend here in Oz this weekend and we have what in my opinion is the best form of voting in the world - preferential voting. I wonder how that would work in the UK if it ever happened and just what that would do to Reforms chances of getting real power.
RIP Tories

The winter fuel 'fiasco' was no mistake. It was a targeted attack.
Pensions vote Tory in the largest numbers than any other demographic in UK. Think it's as high as 67%.
So next time you hear a pensioner saying that the youth of today have no respect for the older generation......kindly remind them of that fact above and ask them is it any wonder why. They are equally selfish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty sure the figure was 56%.
And I'm not sure that those youngsters that have a lack of respect for their elders behave in such a way because of their political leanings.I don't think most of these types really have any idea about politics.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Missing the point. Everyone is selfish and none more so than Pensioners. Most got their houses for less than 15grand, had access to free university places if they wanted one and didn't find it particularly difficult to find a decent job compared to these days.
It's not pensioners I feel sorry for. It's people in their early 20's, majority who are going to struggle to ever own their own home and be forever renting.
The baby boomers had it better than any generation before them and any since. Not interested in hearing their 'woe is me' tails.

We need Starmer in jail for war crimes, and Labour to restructure and get the sheet together.

Baby boomers didn't have it easy. Most never inherited any property from their parents. They had to save up and pay for it themselves. You lot are going to inherit £500,000 plus houses off your parents when they peg it. So don't give me you are never going to own a property. You will, and won't even have to work for it.

It’s quite obvious labour will do an awful job. As Garry Stevenson predicts they will fail economically. Reform will be running the country soon. Interesting times

Labour's problem is that they are a bunch of Tories themselves.

I don't know if Boomers had it 'easy' in general. But I would say in terms of the housing market, they had it 'easier' than latter generations. The wage to house price ratio was far more favourable, and saving for a deposit was easier. My mother's house value has literally doubled since she bought it 20 years ago. Boomer's asset wealth has increased dramatically simply by doing nothing.
I can't remember what the exact figure is, but the average age millennials will inherit these £500k houses you speak of will probably be around 60. Therefore, that's a helluva long time to 'not work' for a property

My father in law's house was 320k when purchased in 2001. It's now 1.8 million.
