Not a good look, Nico
🟥 mist descended, not the first and certainly wont be the last elite player to lose control, as long as he learns from it, it's all good.
Gonna have to atone for that with a smashing performance in the Conference league final
Moment of madness!

Moment of madness , yeah sure
But what about the bit where Newcastle are a much better side?
Villa are not exactly in the passenger seat either!

Elite player?

In the context of things it was inexcusable, i've often defended NJ against criticism but, sorry, he let the club (and himself) down big time today.
Deffo red card in my book and not very subtle with the big giveaway being he actually looked at the guy before clattering him.
Not the brightest tool in the box Nico, can imagine if NJ broke in and robbed a hotel overnight he'd sign the guest book.
I think overall it just further highlights the flaws in the structure that these idiots apply to the first team.
I think NJ was decent last season but obviously raw and I think a big ask to be totally reliant on him being our main striker for the entire season given that rawness and inexperience.
IMO would have hugely benefited from playing a more supportive role this season and sharing the burden up front with another more experienced striker.
Unfortunately club never addressed the problems from last season let alone this, particularly in what is a pivotal position on the pitch.
Lots of money spent on players that are "potential" but not somebody that would actually fill a need in the current squad and enhance that superb opportunity that we had to claim a CL place given our position in December.
Still can't believe we started the season with NJ and MG as our only options as natural strikers.
