Speaking of better pay offs, there were several points in tonight’s game when I thought Amorim’s selections and tactics looked like he was trying to get sacked.

Aye, the rabbit in the headlights lad. To be fair, he’s been much better after a more successful loan out.

You can see Amorin's mental decline over the season. Started off all talk about just needing to put together a string of results, bit more hard work and we'll get there etc, to the last few months where it's maybe we're better off not qualifying for Europe because we'll get embarrassed.

Tbh I think the right thing for them is to give him another season without the distraction of European competition and with backing in the transfer market to get rid of a lot of the duds. Whether he has the stomach for it is another matter entirely.

He eviscerates Jim Ratcliffe in both videos for being a massive 🔔end and pulls apart the mess they've dug themselves into all with a healthy dose of humour.

Go back 10 years and theirs was the most successful academy in Europe! Not at producing players for their 1st team but at producing players for 'the game' - at other clubs - much of which would get them compo or sell-ons but still. It is really hard data to compile and aggregate when players move so much and I haven't seen it for a while.
