As I Feared..

People are changing their minds based on 90 minutes of football against a very poor Man Utd team.

Ange said himself, he said along the lines of he wasn't going to be a good or bad manager based on a single game of football.

Everyone should sit back, view the whole season and then make an educated decision.

The best decisions in life, are not emotional ones.

From what I'm told Ange isn't pally with the players, but you can see that they've trusted him.

I thought Ange was on his way out but after the win let's see how things pan out.

It was nice to see him stand his ground against the many having a pop at him and loved seeing him with that big smile on his face.

Season 3 ?

Neither was Brian Clough. He was quite a spikey character, particularly with players, but they would run through brick walls for him. You don’t need to be pally.

I think that as things stand, he really has to be given a shot next season, with some stipulations as to what is minimum acceptable league performance.

I’m not confident he will be here at Christmas, but maybe this is the start of something <dunno>

A Super cup win would go some way towards convincing people

Top 5 should be the minimum stipulation.

Pro: Europa league win - he stays
Con: 17th place finish in the Premiership. - he goes
Problem: if he stays and starts off losing again.....its much harder for Levy to go out and find a top class manager to replace him than if Lvy replaces him now.
You choose!

I haven't changed my mind. Only an idiot would want Ange sacked after giving lots of Spurs newer fans the best few days of their lives since Wednesday, supporting Spurs.

Does last season's 17th place finish mean the newer fans will be led thru the fire of a relegation battle next season? They would quickly get to experience the worst days of their lives.
You wouldn't want that!

Levy has a lot of work to do before next season. The squad needs a complete re-build.
Doubtless Levy will wait util the final day to make his moves.

I knew Ange would get overrated based on the Europa win. Just yesterday I was arguing with a couple of people who called what he did a "miracle" and "the impossible".

Get a grip!

Son is well into his 30's. Richarlisson is not very good.
Romero is on his way to Real Madrid. Vicario can't control his area..... what more do you want?
We lost to B&H in our final appearance of the season.
With the likes of Ben Davies fillin gin.

From the B&H match report.........

This defeat was a sobering reminder of the problems that persist at Tottenham.

Postecoglou will argue that he has met his pre-season requirements by winning a trophy and qualifying for the Champions League.

The build-up to the Europa League final was dominated by talk of the Australian getting the sack if Spurs lost - perhaps even before today's match against Brighton.

That did not happen and at Spurs' Europa League trophy parade, Postecoglou said: "All the best TV series, season three is better than season two."

It was interpreted as a suggestion that the Australian had been told that he would be at the club next season, but he was quick to play down those claims before this match, acknowledging that "sometimes they kill off the main character".

It is now over to chairman Daniel Levy to decide how much the club's Europa League success can mask such a disastrous league campaign.

Levy is yet to give any indication to Postecoglou over his future, but clarification is expected in the next 48 hours.
