Sounds like Thomas Frank wants to take him to Spurs with him.
Seemed nailed on we’d sign him this time last week but seems to have cooled a bit. Should we be concerned?

Everything we know about Amorim's system is that he wants ideally both CMs to cover miles and miles of ground. Mainoo doesn't. As far as I'm aware, Wharton doesn't either. So it's quite a stretch to imagine Amorim wanting to pair those two.
(While he's not rapid, Bruno provides more intensity in running throughout the 90 minutes than anyone else among our midfield options.)

We've seen him start Eriksen in there who isn't mobile whatsoever. Casemiro isn't anything like as mobile as he once was either. He actually get run past quite easily now.
And Ugarte didn't even start in Bilbao nor did he come on for a single minute. If that's his mobile running midfielder....why didn't he use him?

Just because he's started them doesn't mean he wants them, his selection of midfielders didn't match what he wanted and he will obviously try and fix that. Casemiro was mre mobile since the turn of the year.
Bruno runs his bollox off which Amorim loves but he is also wasteful in position which is an issue for me as a CM.

Looks like talks with Gyokeres have begun. According to Sky Sports News anyway.
Going to be strange watching us with 3 forwards who know where the goal is.
Hojlund and Zirkzee should be looking for new clubs. Nowhere near the standard required. 7 PL goals combined is quite honestly pathetic.

Hopefully the rumours of Inter’s interest in Hojlund is true. Don’t really need him but maybe they’re trying to bring in some much needed younger players.
We really need to find buyers for Rashford and Sancho next.

I love Bruno. I just prefer him played in his best position. Bit like where Portugal played him last night.
Does appear though he's going to be used predominantly in a 2 man midfield for us again this coming season.
Just think it's a huge waste. He's one of the best players in world football in his actual position. In CM he's just in a bunch with lots of other decent players and nothing more.

I agree which is why I said I’d probably prefer to spend the Mbeumo money on a proper CM and keep Bruno further forward. It would allow us to play a more balanced XI however much I’d love us to get Mbeumo. If later on in the window we’ve sold a few players then we can look at another #10 and keeper.

Seen that we are being linked to Paulinha from Bayern as a stop gap midfield option. Hasn't worked out at Bayern but he was terrific for Fulham. He did play for Amorim too at Sporting.
Maybe Casemiro could be leaving to Saudi afterall?

Paulinha would be a waste,

City just signed Cherki, what a signing that is and so foooking cheap

I despise that we keep losing out on signings like this. You chase Bruno and sign players like this, but make him a god clearly on his way out

Losing out? At what point did we ever have a chance with City interested?
