Daniel Levy didn’t want Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Journalist Paul O’Keefe has also now revealed that the appointment of Ange Postecoglou was not one that Daniel Levy was keen on, and that he needed some convincing before going ahead with signing the Australian manager.
Scott Munn, who is leaving Spurs this summer, is reported to be the one who was truly eager to bring his fellow countryman to N17, with Levy reportedly told to stay out of the footballing decisions.
O’Keefe told Last Word on Spurs (12:29): “Levy did not want Ange as manager. He was not his pick, it was Scott Munn’s pick.
"He had reservations about putting Ange Postecoglou in charge of Tottenham, and he felt that he had to back his new guy and his new regime, because they had obviously built this new infrastructure, and there is no point doing that if you are then going to keep interfering.
“He kept being told ‘you have got to stop interfering with footballing decisions’. He was not keen, and he had to be convinced; obviously, they did the deal eventually.
“I think he is probably sitting somewhere saying to himself, ‘I knew I was right all along’ but, at the end of the day, they still got a trophy and he has ended ENIC’s trophy drought for them. He has a reason to be thankful and just out of sheer courtesy, he should have said something within the club announcement."
Levy has the gall to be arrogant when he has seen the back of 15 failed managers alone, the cheek.
Sounds so classless and bitter too.

He is spot about Levy in general. Levy is a control freak who makes bad decisions because he is too money driven.

We could've had Eddie Howe. We needed a manager and Howe was available at that exact time. Don't know why we didn't go for him. He ended up at Newcastle in the end and we settled for, well, you know how that all went down...

Everyone knows it was a Scott Munn appointment. As soon as Munn was verified there was an issue with gardening leave Ange was appointed. Ange was 20/1 at the bookies.
Munn is gone now anyway going to America. Paratici looking like he cannot join until September nightmare.
