Does anyone still watch International football? It's rubbish. Most of the players are nowhere near International class. Caps given out like confetti.

Only gets interesting when it gets to the knockout games in the big tournaments. The rest of it is p1111sssh.

The guy has won a CL, which I suppose in some ways you can't argue against, but I'm going to anyway.
I just don't like Tuchel's style of play. I just find all of his teams boring to watch. I get that his football can be effective because he has won trophies, but that's my opinion

Too much football, some of these young players are burnt out before there 25 ,this world club cup is another example, its not necessary, need proper off season let them have some time off so they'll be refreshed for next season

As my dear old mother used to say "an England teams importance is represented by the number of Spurs players in it".
As we had none last night I couldn't give a rats rse. If he puts Mad and Solanke in the next squad (as he should) I'll show more of an interest.

Totally agree haven't watched an England qualifying game or friendly for many years, think I began to lose interest with the increased number of games probably 90's I gave up.
Still watch the actual tournaments of the WC and Euros but selective games only and the overall tournament standard not something to hold my interest.
Just too many games these days for an old fart like me, grew up on a diet of 4 team qualifying groups winner only progressed lol.
Remember watching an Italy v England WC qualifier at school one afternoon - Happy Days.
On the point of caps being handed out like confetti always amazes me the number of talented players of my age era who barely registered on the number of caps front, I suppose a reflection of the difference in quantity of games played and squad sizes etc back then meaning less opportunities.

100 per cent correct. Spurs had four players from their Double team who never had one England cap between them. Although Ron Henry did pick up ONE cap in 1962. Steve Perryman 650 games for Spurs, half a dozen winners medals, ONE cap. Billy Bonds at West Ham Zero caps. Yet modern players quickly get handed 50 plus caps for being bog standard average.
