Anyone thinks it's a good idea?
I certainly don't. Imo it's another money grubbing scheme that has no backing from fans, but does from banks and FIFA.
Also it's a forerunner to the super league that didn't even have the backing of all the clubs, let alone the fans.
The days of myself, Mick and Ray are disappearing, soon you will need a middle-class income to go and watch a game of footie FFS.

Ticket sales have been pathetic too haven't they? Trying to promote football in the USA needs to end. It's always going to be a minority sport there. 95% of the country couldn't name a single Chelsea or City player. They'd probably struggle to name more than 1 Real Madrid player.

Harsh. I’m waiting to board for US and had looked at tickets. Pricing all over the place but yeah overpriced for the games I could get to.
They don’t need to promote football because it has a firm foothold. Overall the MLS played to 94% capacity, 213 sell outs. Most stadiums are right sized for full houses and the atmosphere is good with ultra sections, plenty noise and paid actors to help.
Wider in the country no way is it a minority sport. Whilst the big bucks are still in American football, baseball and basketball, participation is ramping, facilities excellent, more and more kids understanding the game and pursuing it.
Participants and fans are perfectly knowledgable about European players.TV does long catch up shows. You can watch all the major leagues. There’s more interest in Latin leagues that doesn’t exist in Europe.
You had a rant but I suspect you ‘knowledge’ is from a distance, and wrong.

Massively corrupt.
No-one really bid for the TV rights, in fact ITV bid £0 I think.
DAZN then sell ‘minority stake’ to Saudis for £1bn.
DAZN then bid £1bn for CWC TV rights, despite little to no competition.
FIFA then award SA 2034 World cup.

Indeed Hoody. It's corruption in plain sight and it's gone almost unnoticed.

It helps us with FFP. Should help us sign a new starting 11 this summer.
