.....if both Hamer and Buendia become available, which would be the better option. Or neither?
Hypothetical......

I agree Lubo your reply was nonsense. You totally missed the point, that being you can sign players from other leagues and get value, I quoted Bournemouth, could have been Brighton Brentford etc etc etc
As for defending anyone, also nonsense, just healthy debate.
I repeat I'm not a football scout and couldn't name anyone that's value outside of England.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You change the goalposts at literally any opportunity. You acted as if those players were unheard of. They weren't. Zabarnyi had been one of Europe's higher rated talent for years. Kerkez had been pining for a PL move for at least two years. Huijsen had played for Juventus and Roma before Bournemouth signed him. I'm not disagreeing you can get good value from abroad, but that isn't what you said.
All these clubs also benefit from signing established PL players that are down on their luck and helping them refind their form, too. See Kepa at Bournemouth last season, or Danny Welbeck at Brighton, Christian Eriksen at Brentford. There are definitely advantages to picking up cheap players from abroad, but it often devalues one of the fundamental necessities of staying in the PL, which is having players who know this division.
A player like Buendia might cost you 20 million, but if he reaches the levels he was at before then you have a player worth double that. You might spend 10 million on a RB or LB from, say, Red Bull Salzburg, believing they can make the step-up, and then they turn out to be pants.
The question was a perfectly innocuous one, and the way you responded was OTT. If someone says that there is better out there for a more reasonable price, the implication is that they know of players who are better and cheaper. Asking who they are is perfectly fine.

Lubo, there are better players out there, it has been proved so many times, this will not change.
It's the nature of football, there are always players that improve, usually younger ones. They get picked up for reasonable/ bargain prices.
Just because I can't name them means absolutely nothing.

It's irrelevant if the players are well known or unknown.
The only thing that matters is picking up the right players at affordable prices.
I just picked you up Lubo on mentioning unknown as it wasn't used by me

Lubs, let him keep digging, it will soon all fall in over him

Lubo agrees with me obviously
It's a big world out there
It's not all about the PL
We become obsessed with it, yes I include myself.
A PL that was brilliant for English football.
Now a PL that makes it increasingly difficult for the have nots to compete.

Sorry Kammy, I will answer the question
Definitely not Buendia, gives the impression of a big risk and Farke appears to like him and done nothing for ages and of course the injuries.
Would prefer better than Hamer but he's s big improvement on Aaronson.

I think we can do better and the likes of Noah Sadiki, Onyedika and Diarra are for me superior players and all at an affordable £20 -£25 million range which if we could get 2 of them we'll have a very strong engine room and then if we can't get Solomon then Guessand looks a very exciting class act.
I thought Cresswell looked impressive for England U21 tonight and we'll see how he progresses but I will not be surprised if an EPL club sooner or later snaps him up so I hope Leeds have got a sell on clause.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently he's off to Como (Serie A) for 20 mil. Not sure if we had any clause.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I read last week that there is a sell on clause. 10% I think.
