As things stand he will report for day one of pre-season training and they will take it from there.

Always gave 100% for the shirt when he played for us and a promotion hero.

Fickle fans. How many of the 89/90 squad do you dislike? Or the 91/92 squad?
Very rare Leeds have done anything noteworthy. The players involved in successful seasons should always be remembered favourably. Even Cantona I can look back at with love for his role in helping us win the title.

I think if he scored the goal that gets us in the Champions league nobody here would have anything against him!..

Odd thing is he's getting grief from some around here, but the way I saw it when he went he was more or less forced to go!..

And if Farke wanted him back and played him, he should get the backing any player should get!..

kammy, I've always left him alone, but thought I'd have a dig at the few around here!.

When he left, the club was in turmoil. Are we sure he really wanted out or is that the spin from the club?

His mum came out and defended him, as all mums would I think. But she should have buttoned it for his sake.

If James signs a new contract and we keep Largie and Willie then I think he might struggle to get games. However if Solomon doesn't come back (not looking good on that front) then I think there might be a place for him.

He has decent Prem experience now and also avoiding relegation experience. He could be an asset to be fair.

I'm not one for hating players that move away. It's a job and they have to do what's best for themselves at the time. I also don't always believe what the club says about departing players.

Let's see what happens.

Totally agree. JH, if he comes back, will get my support. I have no issue with his leaving, it's a shame how we like to pile on ex-players. For the most part footie is a sport where most players move around, especially after relegations.

I only care that he can be part of a team that survives in the prem - I'm not convinced he's 100% going to help us in that sense. Think we need better.

I remember Leeds fans on Twitter losing their minds after Ben White, who had just signed for Arsenal, said that the Emirates was the best stadium in the country and that Mikel Arteta was the best manager he'd ever worked under.

Its PR, guys. They don't actually think the things they say. They're just saying what their current fans want to hear/what they've been told.
