Good job we’ve not spent 7 weeks chasing Mbeumo. That would’ve been embarrassing.
What’s plan b?
Newcastle in for Wissa

I dont think we have the money for Mbuemo rather than being unwilling to pay a few extra million. Our cash reserves are very low so every penny counts.
I believe if one of Sancho, Antony or Garnacho had been sold already......Mbuemo would have been done and dusted by now.
I think that's what the great hold up is. We are skint.

But it's not like we are planning on paying the full amount straight away. I'm sure we have the funds but we have a price that we seemingly won't go above which is understandable.

I shook my magic 8 ball and saw us panic buy Nicolas Jackson for £70 million on deadline day and thus help rid them of their average players while they go on and invest that money on the likes of Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro type level guys

Cost Chelsea £32m and hasn't really worked out. Shouldn't be going for a profit. £25m tops.
However logic and transfer fees doesn't seem to apply to Chelsea. They seem to sell their deadwood at premium rates. No idea how but hats off to them.

Shame we are skint and cant afford both Wissa and Mbuemo.
Cunha Wissa Mbeumo would be a tasty front 3.

I can't see anyone buying Jackson for that kind of figure. My guilty secret is that I'm Jackson-curious. I can kind of see a player in there. Add some composure in front of goal and he could be very good. If we can't find The Man this summer, and if Chelsea were ready to sell him for £30m or so, I'd not be against adding him to the squad. He'd be a short-term upgrade/competition for what we have, and then a decent second choice when we can afford an elite striker.

Seen a few Chelsea fans even mention £100m for Jackson
Not sure what planet they live on. Signs for £32m and doesn't work out and they immediately put a £40-70m increase on his valuation.
Guarantee that any player we signed for £32m and didn't work out would leave for less than what we initially paid.
Offer them a loan deal with Chelsea paying half his wages.
