WHO is next?

Mbuemo in, who's next?
--
GK: Onana can surely being us TOP 6 can't he? Id say wait this one out a year.
Unless Saudi gives us a fair amount. John Victor would be a fair option given reportly low buy out clause.

DF: Short in this area after Lindelof and Evans out, but might cope without Europe. Next to zero rumours about defenders. Inacio?

MID: Having my minds on a holding MF if any, but might slow or deny chances for Mainoo, Fletch brothers among others. Yet again no Europe gives us less need for depth. The likes of Javi Guerra to a good price would certainly make sence tho. Maybe a Palinha loan also could be possible?

FW: I dont want to give up Hoijlund just yet, Zhirkee is versatile as fck. Obi needs to play more also. With Gyokeres on his way to The Gunners, I feel we have a chance on Sesko.

Personally I'd sign a defender and a mf now. And give the rest promising players a chance. Should be enough goals in Bruno, Mbuemo and Cunha to make us TOP 6. So feel its about balacing the team and concede less goals.

We're well stocked at CB I reckon.

We could do with a really good CF but hopefully our buys so far will help with the goal burden there so we may see Hojlund and Zirkzee given a chance to change minds and impress.

It's GK and MF I'd improve and with the same kind of player for midfield as Rosso has suggested.

Let's see how it goes. I'm hoping we'll be much improved as it is because of a number of factors.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree Diafol, CB is the last area we need to strengthen. Maz, De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro, Shaw, Heaven, Martinez and maybe even Dalot are all options. If we can sort other areas we can leave an upgrade at CB to next summer.

A prolific CF would be ideal but I actually think our new signings will help get the best out of Zirkzee so I’m not as concerned about this area.

We need a GK to at least compete with Onana. I don’t rate Bayindir at all really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, you were far less lazy than I was listing the CBs! We're OK there and it'd be a huge bonus if Heaven could build on his early promise and become a stand out.

A run of the mill keeper that does the basics right would be OK. The Martinez links are interesting. I don't think he's elite but there is a presence about him and he has the big game mentality that's needed. Talent alone isn't enough for a United keeper. We also need someone with balls there.

GK is the priority for me. Then a CM. Then a RWB.

I'm hopeful that both Hojlund and Zirkzee will do much better if the team plays better as a whole.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
RWB is fine for now too. Amad will play there plenty.

Ya I agree. I think he has the confidence and arrogance not to be overawed. Wouldn’t break the bank on him though.

If that is where the manager is going to play him then fairenough. I think ultimately I'd like to see him further up the pitch, but he's good enough there for now.

We’re spending 65 mill on a player to play at right 10. I think we’ll see a lot of Amad at RWB.

If the formation works as it should Amad will spend most of his time attacking anyway I hope! Maz, De Ligt, Yoro and Dorgu will be the four tasked with more defensive duties.

If we’re going to sign a midfielder (and I don’t get the impression that it’s near the top of the transfer team’s list of priorities), I think the problem is probably competition.

The kind of player we need if we’re going to try to upgrade on/provide competition for Ugarte/Casemiro is in short supply and high demand in the PL.

I could get excited if I thought we had a chance of signing Baleba or Felix Nmecha, but if we went in for either with what would need to be a serious wedge, I expect we’d still either not have enough to spend or be outbid.

Ugarte has some shortcomings (elite PL pace, anticipation, touch and care with the ball on occasion, aerial dominance), but he’s still only 23 years old I think, and has room to improve on at least some of those.

I think Amorim will want a more physically dominant, athletic and pacy CM eventually, but we might have to wait until next summer for that.

——Yoro—De Ligt—Martinez

Amad—Baleba—Bruno—Dorgu

——Mbeumo———Cunha

That I could get excited about. (Just missing a keeper and a striker… )

Yeh probably. But if and when we get back into Europe we will need to have a bigger squad and rotate more. So I'd expect him to move play more further up the pitch

True and Amad does seem a little prone to a long term injury so we need options.
